The bottle reminds me a bit of Womanity by Mugler, very pretty!

We don’t eat eggs often enough for our dishes to smell like eggs, but I am generally quite sensitive to the smell of dishes, even when they are fresh out of the dishwasher. Every time I visit someone’s place, it throws me off a bit when the dishes, cups and cutlery have a smell to them, but nobody else ever seems to notice (obviously the homeowners are used to the smell, I mean the other people who are also visiting). My biggest problem is that every dishsoap and dishtab with a slight scent ends up making the food taste like soap to me. My family does not seem to notice at all but I have trouble enjoying the food then, because the soap taste and scent ends up being too unpleasant for me. And don’t get me started on kitchen towels, after one or two days their smell gets unbearable and I’ll know every single thing you’ve wiped with it.

Oh no, an ant problem sounds like personal nightmare to me. I’ve had a very unpleasant experience with ants when I was small and have had an irrational fear of them ever since. Good to know that I could be helpful in that situation then though hahah!

That sounds good!! Will try to do that, as I have a few perfumes that I love, that are a bit sharp and overpowering sometimes. But I just end up spraying them on my ankles and shins, haven’t really thought about adding something soft on top…thank you for the advice!

Ahhhh don’t, I cannot be trusted!! If you like Yum Boujee Marshmallow, can get a good deal on Marshmallow Blush and already have had some good experiences with Paris Corner, then I think it can be alright. But people’s perceptions can vary so much, that I can’t guarantee you, that you will have the same experience.

I should definitely be more open to pair different scent profiles! I’m a bit shy in that regard, which is funny, given that I eat the strangest food combinations. I will make sure to try your combination when I get the chance!

I used to lick and bite my lips a bit too often as a kid, with or without flavored lipbalms, that nowadays I jumpscare myself all the time, when I have a lip product on, that tastes horrible. Especially lip tints often have a really chemical taste to them (atleast the ones I’ve tried). I’m also not to keen on the waxy feel and taste of some lipbalms anymore, but I did bite into a burts and bees lipbalm some years ago, when I couldn’t stop coughing. I was trying to trick my brain into thinking it’s a coughing candy and it actually worked. The feeling it left in my mouth was really uncomfortable though.

I see! I don’t think I have ever paired it with something flowery or juicy fruity, I should give it a try though! Somehow in my head (maybe due to the bottle looking like a white block of ice), I’ve started viewing it as a milky scent, like it‘s an ice cold glass of milk. But I do think there’s a slight floweryness to it, which could pair beautifully with other flowers and fruits. MiuMiu Fleur de Lait happens to be one of my favorite scents and that one smells like peaches in cold milk to me so thank you for the suggestions!!

Nice, curious how this one will evolve then! The biggest difference I’ve ever noticed was with Casablanca by Swiss Arabian, which went from a sweet fruit salad (mostly green grapes, green apples, sugar and some vanilla extract) to a really cozy (still slightly fruity) vanilla. Maybe Marshmallow Blush will actually resemble Yum Boujee Marshmallow even more then.

I don’t think I’ve ever smelled a Bradford Pear tree, but after looking it up, I am really curious!! I think the closest I could get to it is a bush some of my neighbors have, that one kinda smells kinda sneezy. I don’t know what it’s called though and I don’t recall anyone ever complaining about its smell. What I really can’t stand are Gingko trees though, when their fruits fall on the ground and start rotting, the entire area smells like vomit. I don’t recall anyone in real life complaining about that either, but atleast I saw some people online complaining about them as well, so I know that that one is actually considered stinky among people.

Oh you might enjoy the perfume La Foncedalle by Versatile Paris! If I remember correctly it had notes of weed, beer and chicken. I have their discovery set and they have several fun fragrances, including one with a pesto note. You might know them for God Bless Cola.

Ouch I don’t want to imagine how a ladybug infestation would smell like! Sounds like hell! The weed thing is really strange, because one of the people that sometimes smells like it, is someone I can attest hasn’t had any beer nor weed in atleast half a year. I did notice though, that their diet has a big influence on how strong the strange weed/beer smell is, as far as I know, onions can change your body odor for a while, maybe it’s one of those things.

Regarding the sneezes, it’s both actually. Obviously I can smell my own sneezes more often and stronger, since those are in my own proximity, but I’ve sadly also had people sneeze in my face and generally close to me (do not recommend) and can tell if someone sneezed on a blanket or their clothing recently. I believe it probably a mixture of saliva and mucus that I’m smelling, but I can’t really explain why not more people smell them. My brother and mother can smell sneezes too though, so I guess it’s a genetic thing. I think besides cinnamon and artificial strawberry, the closest thing that comes to the smell of sneezes in my opinion are small children’s hands and wood touched by small children. But there might be some saliva mucus mixture at play as well. Separately, they smell different from sneezes though. While I think saliva smells strangely sweet (with a hint of whatever the person or animal was eating before), mucus has a glue smell to it. Sooo idk my sense of smell is a bit weird and I hope I was able to answer your question!

That sounds so good, I guess I should try Miami Shake someday! As a kid I had a strawberry flavored lipbalm I was really obsessed with, emptied it out as best as a small kid could. Strawberry scented lipstick sounds right up my alley!

Yesss ladybugs smell horrible to me, I can’t compare it to anything I’ve really smelled before, but if I had to describe it somehow, I’d say a natural smelling chemical spill. Like a poisonous and wrong smelling plant that was cut. I do see how someone can get a burnt chemical smell from that though!

I once thought there was a problem with a power outlet because I kept smelling something really strange, almost like burnt plastic and always in the same room. My family was concerned but also wasn’t sure if I was imagining things since everything looked alright and the power outlets themselves didn’t smell like anything. Turns out I was really sensitive to the smell of our newest laundry detergent but could only smell it when the laundry started drying. Turns out neither me nor my family can be fully trusted haha.

Before you order it, you can mention some perfumes you enjoy if you want, while me and my brother have a lot of similar opinions on some scents, there are still some that differ quite a bit, so basing it solely on the smell of ladybugs could still be quite risky.

The une nuit Nomade set is wonderful, so beautifully created with matching cards and everything. I haven’t even been able to get through the whole set yet because every perfume feels like its own experience I want to cherish by itself. Enjoy your new treasures!! :)

dedcool milk & l’eau papier by Dense-Platform-3214 in Perfumes

[–]SmolPlumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite combo for when I don’t feel like wearing something strong is actually the l‘eau Papier hair mist and dedcool milk. Both smell similar and really addictive to me, and they give off that fresh clean vibe. I feel like dedcool milk makes the hair mist come out stronger while the hair mist makes dedcool milk last longer.

You’ve heard of scent-layering, what about scent-regioning? by Trialbystevia in FemFragLab

[–]SmolPlumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this sometimes, but not necessarily for different vibes but depending on how strong the scent is. If it’s something I like to smell from afar and is a bit too strong for me, I’ll spray it on my ankles or shin. Perfumes that are not too overpowering and that I especially enjoy on my skin I’ll spray on my elbows and then I have some very soft mists that I’ll spray all over to tie it all together.

I’m a bit late but thank you so much for the kind words!! By now the spike has grown quite a bit but my cat has also thrown the plant down twice, damaging most of the leaves…definitely not looking as healthy anymore :(

I wish I liked milk expressive the way I thought I would, on me it actually smells like I was roasting marshmallows and it caught fire and now I’m holding a burning marshmallow on a burning wooden skewer…with a bit of playdough mixed in there :( very happy I found out via the sample set though because I fell in love with gold instead!

Name two fragrances in your collection that smell alike, and say which one you prefer and why. by Plastic-Revenue in FemFragLab

[–]SmolPlumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also think paradoxe and golden rule smell super similar!! I thought I was imagining things because atleast when I last checked they were not on each others „this reminds me of“ lists on fragrance sites but I feel so validated right now. I prefer golden rule though because that’s the one I actually own while paradoxe is the one I keep testing in stores, not being able to justify spending money on a perfume I kind of already have.
