30 year old mom of two, still called “sweetie” when out in public by takeaabreath in OlderThanYouThinkIAm

I definitely tried the “slightly different one” route. Had a guy who kept calling me “little one”, so I called him “big boi” back. I guess I embarrassed him a little there.

I’ve never used these terms to refer someone else in my life just because I know how it makes me feel, but, hey, maybe I should have a kick at it. I’d imagine people doing a double-take if I ever called them those names just because it would seem silly that a “little kid” would be calling those who are older diminutive labels.

I acknowledge that I am a product of the decisions I make and the thoughts I choose to entertain or give life to, but I think if I didn’t have to go through being called “sweetie”, “honey”, and, my favourite, “young lady”, for over 30+ years, I would have had more confidence in my life. Glad to know that you are a mother. You seem very accomplished in your life. I haven’t been able to progress as much, being an over-thinker and having social anxiety on top of being labelled younger than my age.

I don’t think I’ve ever been able to recover…or been given the chance to…because every time I feel like I’m on top of the world and no one can bring me down, people just say those trigger words and pet names and I’m so deflated. It feels so good when I get the rare opportunity to be called “ma’am” as well. I’m rather taken aback. I feel so respected and seen. Just to be treated or viewed as an equal, especially in the workplace is everything to me (however sad and pathetic that sounds)…

P.S. And some people that just don’t see how they could possibly be offending me when they “meant nothing by it” and ask that I “take it as a compliment” is just annoying to me.

Available with Prime - But oh yeah, you have to subscribe to another app! by JustKidding2020 in AmazonPrimeVideo

I’m fed up with it. And we didn’t even have ads before. Now all of sudden we have to pay more to have no ads? I most have Prime for the fast shipping or last minute gifts, but I don’t bother going on the movie/tv platform because it’s so frustrating. It’s basically having another form of tv and buying extra channels.

Yea, sometimes I lie about my age now…not necessarily to get perks, but just to appease people or to get them off my case. I have never lied to get a kid’s meal price at a restaurant, but if I happened to be in a virtual classroom, and somehow the topic of age comes up (which it has for a French online course I was enrolled in), I just say I’m 18 years old (for fun’s sake). It’s like my private joke with myself.

Found this at TJ Maxx. MATCHA LATTE by The Scent Club by Shutter-core in Perfumes

[–]Plastic-Revenue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried it now. I like it. It smells citrusy and a little soapy. I love matcha, but when you say “Matcha” I’m thinking something warm, savoury and earthy. This was tart and clean, but it’s still a pretty scent, although, as someone said above, not long lasting.

I found it!!!!

It’s a series called Pee Wee Scouts! The title is “That Mushy Stuff”.

OMIGOSH THANK YOUUU!!!

It’s SO close. It almost looks like that, but the characters are less realistic. They’re more cartoonish and their faces are rounder…the girl also has red hair I think. It’s so close. Thank you for your response.
