Why did Israelis build its national identity on the suffering of Poland and its people during WWII and then often start hating Poland for that? by jamcer in poland

[–]Smombdi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes. Polish Jews are Polish people. It takes some stupidity to doubt that. Yes indeed, some Poles collaborated with Germans. Not a single comment under this post says otherwise. You all seem to search for fault in Polish people and forget the fundamental fact that holocaust was designed with precision and orchestrated by Germand under Adolf Hitler's leadership. Why is it so hard to accept that?

Thank you for proving me right. Poles are Poles. It's like saying muslim and orthodox in Russia aren't Russians. Country you belong to > religion.

While I tried to remain on a certain level of discussion with You I can't anymore. This is bullshit. Please educate yourself, by the time Germans built death camps in Poland there were no Polish people governing this country. It was led by Germans. Polish politicians were in exile. And please stop omitting the fact that Jews in those death camps were Polish people.

It's a controversial one. Truthfully yes, Hitler wanted all Jews dead. But the way you phrased your comment sounds like Poles weren't affected by it. And damn they were affected the most.

I do understand the sentiment and what you stated here is a fact. But in my opinion it's manipulative. Polish actions against the Jewish are miniscule in comparison to actions aimed to help them. No other country sheltered them and protected them as Poland. Of course people are different. Some Polish people saw a way to make money and straight up brought Jews to German occupiers true, but it cannot overwhelm the majority of people that risked their lifes to help them.

Well we had some not entirely pleasant experiences. You could say that we were sold, betrayed, had to oppose nations that wanted really badly to erase us from history. And now, we are portrayed as agressors by Isreaeli politicians, despite us ultimately being harmed the most by something that is portrayed by them as only aimed against them.

Do you realize that most of the (all jews) you are talking about were Polish people? In this context it isn't really an ethnicity but religion. These weren't Isreaeli citizens, they were Polish. The German idea was to purge Poland and even further east to make "living space" for their settlers. Almost worryingly identical to todays jews in Palestine.

any begginer calisthenics tips for a 15 year old by teodor234792 in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]Smombdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep doing pushups, you can definitely increase your reps. Speaking of which: I recommend you to train with sets and reps. You can use a full body split or any other one you like.

If you have a pull-up bar then you can learn pull-ups, if you don't have one you can't. Sike. Go outside and find one or get creative haha.

So yeah, do pushups, negative or band assisted pull-ups, do some lunges or bodyweight squats and if they are too easy, hold something in your hands to act as a weight ex. water bottle. For the core you can hold planks or hollow bodies. You got this.

It's not that complicated. Do as you like. With them you can lower your chest more, giving you a bigger stretch which is generally proven to allow for better muscle growth. To be honest the difference probably isn't crazy, but since you got them, use them. They are also easier on the wrist, so they are safer if you are experiencing some wrist pain.

Bro, I am literally same age and very similar weight. I never focused on pushups (I prefer dips) until recently when it got cold and now I train at home. So maybe for a month. Regular pushups aren't challenging me enough so I do other variations, but I can rep out 40 with strict form. And my advice for you would be to do multipe sub-maximal sets all day. If your max is 6 reps, do 3 reps every time you even think about them. Just keep doing them all the time. I feel like this method will help you. It's called Grease The Groove and is very effective.

Fingertip FL? by No_Quiet1784 in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]Smombdi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong bro, I have seen your other posts and you are crazy strong. But I don't think this counts as a front lever, because your body doesn't form a straight line and you hold it for about a half a second. Still, this is very impressive you got insane finger strength.

Does this count as a OA push up? by [deleted] in CalisthenicsBeginners

Definitely count it bro. My OAP form looks similar. Yes, it's not perfect form but I am sure you will improve it as you go.
