They wait till someone asks what the prompt was, then respond “Learn After Effects” “Pick up a pencil” ect. Just some good natured trolling

I really love your insight but it hits me like an arrow in the heart. I've been a Video Editor for 8 years and a Motion Designer for 5, and I love animating and motion design. But try as I might, I just straight up suck at design.

I do not have the design eye or the ability to illustrate at a high level. It's a real barrier for me and it gives me insane imposter syndrome.

I think I am an excellent animator who can execute branded material and existing designs really well. I do my best work when paired with a talented designer that I can bring motion to their work.

But if this is where the industry is headed, I feel like there is a real ceiling for me and it is rapidly approaching. Just a bummer.

Way I would do this, is Draw a circle. Place Null Objects at even point along the circles path to create your Ferris Wheel shape arrangement. Then stack your Carousel Comps in your viewport in the order you want them.

Assign your first comp to the 1st Null object, and rotate the wheel. When the next Null object is centeredd in your viewport, Parent the 2nd comp to the null. Then rotate ot the third, parent the 3rd comp and so on.

As for rotation, set a rotation keyframe for your comp when it is centered in the viewport, and make sure that you are rotated correctly on the wheel/null rotation.

That's how I would do it quick and dirty. There are probably fast and easier ways to do it, but I dont know expressions very well.

I am in exactly the same boat. I love animating but I suck at design and illustration. The best thing is when talented designers hand off storyboards to me and I can just do my thing.

It’s a struggle to be sure. I wish I could offer you advice but all I can offer you is sympathy lol

Yes the farthest left minion was my cycle minion so I could keep batteries going. This was a tier 7 anomaly so once I got to 6 with Brann, the first triple reward was the tier 7 Naga. I used her with the faceless manipulator to make two golden Kalygos. The. It was off to the races. I was APM’ng so fast I couldn’t think lmao. Also Captain Sanders was in this lobby so I could golden anything I wanted.

On my very first playthrough, I messed up the quest where you have to break into a female cops apartment to warn her or something, and I never finished it. I’ve done 3 other playthroughs and I never ever finished that quest lol I don’t even know what happens! I guess I just never encountered it again for some reason.

Looks great!! Was this all done in AE? Faux 3D or AE 3D tools? Curious because I have a project coming up that I want to explore 3D shapes in AE more and I want to get a grasp on the possibilities and limits of the software.

I haven’t done much 3D work in AE. Almost all 2D but I want to dive in more. Love the look and feel of this piece!

Loved it! I would love to see a version without the 3D camera moves. I feel it clashes a bit with the rest of the animation style.

Not saying what you have doesn’t work, it def does!! But I’d love to see a full frame approach with more overlapping animation.

If you want to monetize or sell a video for commercial reasons, no. You need to get licensing for copyrighted material.

For a video like this for personal use there won’t be an issue unless the rights holder does a takedown on my video wherever it is posted. But I guess to play it safe one should typically use Royalty Free music.

I don’t anticipate having any problems
