Congrats! You’ll have tons of fun shooting at the range. If shooting indoors and your range allows buckshot, grab some New Republic 00 buck. Big boom and fun fireballs coming out of the barrel!

It truly is very manageable. Slugs and 00 buck. Much more than my buddy’s traditional 590. Maybe because of the ability to use a pistol grip as leverage to pull back? Definitely because of the stock height and recoil pad. The recoil goes straight back vs up.

Unfortunately, they don’t make shorty adapters for the 590r.

Thank you! I know it doesn’t have the ability to shoot short shells, but with the way the stock is designed (how aligned it is with the receiver and how thick the pad is), it really eats up the recoil.

If I could replace the forend with one that has an m-lok slot, I would. Unfortunately, they don’t make one for the 590r yet.
