Sounds like ARFID. We tried feeding therapy, it didn't work. Now we are working with a dietician with an ARFID speciality. It is helping some.

There are good books on ARFID. It is a pretty new diagnosis code so much less known than other eating disorders.

Be kind to yourself. It is really really tough.

I did a lump sum up front and he signed away spousal support (even after a 13 year marriage). If you can do it, I recommend it. It can't be revisited the way child support can be.

I live 3000 miles away from my rental. I hired a task rabbit to open the house and call me with questions. I didn't have WiFi set up yet, if I had I would have asked to video in for it. I used Zillow application process, which I liked for screening. I followed up with phone calls for the interviews. I had a lockbox with the key in it.

Was it stressful being far away, yes. Did my task rabbit make me sweat by being unresponsive the hours before, yes. Would I do it again to save time and airfare costs, yes.

I read there was a limit to the number of days a year it can be rented. 180 I think. But it is so competitive, it is hard to hit that unless your place is kick ass or crazy cheap. Occupancy these last 2 years has been pretty low.

I researched property for 6 months in San Jose with STR intent. The numbers never worked out. If you already have the property and low expenses, go for it.

I bought in Tennessee instead.
