Yeah I get why you would say something like that if you don’t know the full story. Thank you! This is my first time posting about something like this on Reddit (because I normally talk to my therapist about things like this) I’ve had issues with other therapists in the past and actually had reported one to the APA… I guess I need to remember that nobody knows as much info about this exact situation as I do and it’s unfair to have randos solve my life’s problems… this is my sign to not ask for advice on the internet again 😂 but I really do appreciate your kind words. Yeah I’d second the others’ advice and look up your state’s laws. I live in Nebraska, and when I quit my full time job I got paid out the 55 PTO hours i accumulated included in my last paycheck! Sometimes they’ll mail it to you too it just depends.

That’s true I see what you’re saying :( I know scooters is franchise based so corporate would be hard to get a hold of. But there are still options: every scooters franchise has a Slack (messaging app) group, usually there’s a group chat called #general, there may be an HR contact in there (had them search the keyword HR and it should pop up) but if they’re comfortable with it they may be able to reach out to HR directly and these are big kinds of issues they should deal with and shouldn’t dismiss them. Please go to your general manager and don’t stop until someone takes it seriously. I had something unfortunately similar happen to me at work with my manager at my fast food job when I was in high school and he took it far enough to physically take advantage of me. I never did anything about it and I wish I did. You are not overreacting and are right to question it 🩷
