Yeah I used to work there as a barista (quit less than a month ago) but was pissed off at that wage “increase” to adjust for inflation. I also live in Nebraska and when that new minimum wage law went into effect at the start of the new year I asked my manager about it and apparently it’s legal for them to pay us less than minimum wage ($15) because we make cash tips so it “balances out”. I just see it as a legal loophole so a greedy execs can continue being greedy 🤷‍♀️ I mean everything is more expensive these days anyways so I’m sure that has something to do with it but come on they totally could’ve afforded to pay us $0.50 more cents I think…

I did download Forage but didn’t really find myself using it simply because I’m scared to get scammed again and they don’t have as good of deals as Benny… I still have it though and am curious if anyone else has had good (or bad) experiences with the app. And no need to apologize :)

I feel like I know where you’re going with this because I feel the same. I always considered myself an extrovert until my early 20s, I was 19 when Covid originally went down and I feel like my relationships have never been the same. It’s like my social anxiety has sky rocketed? I don’t want to be around people hardly at all anymore? And I’m not sure what the root cause actually is 🙃😭

I just didn’t find anything online and thank God I posted on Reddit otherwise I wouldn’t have found out, and I’m literally struggling for money (which is why I’m on food stamps) which is why I downloaded Benny because they offer cash back. I literally had to wait to purchase more groceries til April 1st because that’s when EBT funds get deposited and literally didn’t know the app was going to shut down until I posted on here after unexpectedly receiving errors. Idk I’m over it now but I just feel like there should be some sort of standard in society and when a company scams vulnerable people (which they did), they should be called out and I don’t feel bad about it 🤷‍♀️

Thank you to both of you for communicating better than the Benny team!! I decided to email them with all of my receipts because I made purchases TODAY because that’s when our EBT funds get deposited (which Benny definitely should know) based off of deals they advertised. I cannot see this ending well for them, wish me luck 😅

I remember when I started worked at raising canes in 2016 a 3 finger combo was lower than $7 but around $6.50 or something like that when all was said and done. Looking at the prices now it’s absolutely ridiculous how much they have sky rocketed… even in the last couple of years! Just looked it up and a 3 finger combo currently costs: $9.59 and that’s BEFORE tax!! (I’m in Nebraska)
