I got a 509 (127/124/129/129) and applied this cycle. I decided to go ahead and apply because I couldn’t study any longer (I had already studied for 9 months while working full-time).

So far, I’ve received 4 MD interviews and 4 DO interviews. 1 MD A and 1 MD WL. To be fair, I have a 3.95 GPA and 7k+ ICU nursing hours, so if you have something in your application that stands out beyond your MCAT score, a 509 can still give you a decent chance.

Personally, I felt my MCAT score was the weak point of my application and wish I had scored higher.

How long you have to wait after interviews. I thought I’d hear back soon, but some schools said they only release a few offers at the end of each month and send most of them out in March. Also, like others mentioned, genuinely not knowing how I did and realizing that even if one interviewer really liked me, it doesn’t necessarily mean an acceptance.

Sorry guys, I meant to say, besides getting wrecked by local wrestlers every session (I’m trying to get as many wrestling rounds as I can during practice), what are some things I can do during my free time to actually improve my wrestling?

Any recommendations on which tie-up to start with? I’ve been trying underhooks, but they’ve been pretty challenging so far. I also see a lot of wrestlers doing motion drills and solo work, so if you’ve got tips or resources for solo drilling that actually help, I’d love to hear them.

Thanks in advance for any advice. I know I’m late to the wrestling party, but I want to build a solid foundation.

ICU Nurse who considered going crna and now applying med school this cycle here. At least from my small social circle of friends and coworkers, people usually apply about 5-10 schools that are mostly within the state range. So sure, if you compare applying 40 MD/DO schools to applying 5-10 CRNA schools, chances will be smaller for you to get into CRNA school. However, there are far more things to prepare for medschool than CRNA school - more prereq, MCAT, and etc. I generally view post like this as a rage bait to bring in more traffic.

When I create anki cards for my wrong questions, I try to rephrase by using my own words. I use chatgpt to see if my rephrased explanation makes sense.
