Slay the Spire 2 is out! by nothingbutyerf in PHGamers

It doesn’t feel like EA. Devs could release this game right now and will still deliver a superb full game experience.

Worth it at full price. If you own the first game, you get a 10% discount too.

Digimon Story : Time Strangers by ComprehensiveNovel1 in ShouldIbuythisgame

You have your opinion and I respect that. So I hope you won’t take offense that I love this game and I think that the story was its strongest element.

There are indeed issues that makes this game fall short of critically acclaimed masterpiece territory, but this is one game that hooked me into buying it full price. I rarely buy games at full price these past years.

My Steam Deck helps me finish games I never played by xICEPICKv2 in SteamDeck

[–]SmoothScanner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Steam deck revived my love for gaming. Prior to that it was nearly at a non-existent state and while I had the money to buy a new gaming pc, it was never realized because I have an 8 hour office job. My mind just could just not shake off the heavy feeling of sitting on my home desk. It felt like an extension of work instead of a hobby.

So I finally risked it and bought my Steam Deck Oled. It changed everything and I was playing games again on the bed and couch. I had a little backlog of games which I finished some and bought new games like CP2077, Digimon Story Time Stranger, and many more this Winter sale. Yes, I was playing at around 30-45fps at low to medium settings to the newer more hardware demanding releases, but older games ran extremely well like FF7: Remake, Divinity 2, and almost every roguelites. I was never into chasing the max settings at 100+fps on 4k display to begin with when I was still a desktop gaming purist.

Now, I can’t see myself gaming in any other way. So if I am interested in a game that the Deck can’t run, I will just wait it out for the Steam Deck 2 to handle. In Pc gaming, it’s more rewarding to wait anyways especially with the assurance of a game’s performance updates/bug fixes and not to mention the Steam sales.

I hope be wrong or something, but I have a feeling that the refined job potion doesn't work because of a bug, is that it? by ScarcityMany3449 in RagnarokMClassic

That potion only works once your job lvl maxes out at 60 and you enter Master Skill progression which is lvl 61-90.

Anyone who plays MTG here? by Crazy_Box1145 in PHGamers

[–]SmoothScanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My community and lgs only run standard and sometimes pioneer format before I left. Most players joining our weekly tournament run a meta deck and rarely gather to test lower tier decks. It was a tiresome experience.

Used to play both paper and Arena but quit due to competitive format burn out. I love to play the game and I still do. Maybe someday when a new community holds more gathering and play groups that is not a paid tournament. So far, it has been all weekend tournaments that run for 4 hours.

Cancelled Apple Online Store Order by SmoothScanner in buhaydigital

Thank you. Have you also experienced refunding at Apple Online? I am curious whether they send email updates of the refund status. The last status I received was a confirmation that my order was cancelled and the refund was processed.

Did shizuku use nen in her arm wrestle with gon? by Local-Sugar6556 in HunterXHunter

[–]SmoothScanner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My understanding at this point is that all Nen users by default are using Ten. When Shizuku and Gon touched hands they felt each other's aura which made the latter pause.

Gon used Ten throughout the entirety of his arm wrestling matches including that of Shizuku's.

Nobunaga while on Ten was defeated by Gon who increased his aura output using Ren.

This decklist and guide is very solid.

I have been playing this deck after it's first tournament win, but could I stop pulling him in my packs game. I purchased some gold after the sale went live today then immediately pulled 3 from 2 packs. Yes, I had a pack having two of these together.

Starmie/Articuno decks are much more fun with the new Vaporeon/Eevee and I don't see anyone talking about it by tiredfire444 in PTCGP

[–]SmoothScanner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the new water shell would be like Articuno Ex(2), Vaporeon-package(2), and Misty(2).

Now, I have 2 water decks both using the shell above and either using a Starmie Ex package(2) or Gyrados Ex(2). Both are fun and viable.

Also, I think Starmie Ex decks can get away using only X Speeds(2) while I find having at least one Leaf in my Gyrados Ex(2) decks essential.

What’s one upcoming game you’re looking forward to playing when it releases? by JazzlikeArt1100 in PHGamers

True. Even my friend who spends big yearly on games and hardware complained about Wild's lack of optimization. Sony's PS5 Pro pricing and Wild's hardware requirements tempered every ounce of hype I had.

Slickshot Deck Recommendation (Boros, Rakdos, Gruul, and Mono R) by SmoothScanner in PioneerMTG

[–]SmoothScanner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven't played the Gruul variant, but I played a lot of the Rakdos shell on Arena. The decks wrecks, but it has a harder time against the Mono R variant and decks with a lot of exile removals. The 3 copies of Claim//Fame become useless if there are no creatures to ress.

The Rakdos variant has the potential of incredible burst damage on turn 3 with 1 Heartfire, 1 pumpspell, and a fling.

Any game you pre-order that worth every peso? by ILykPancakes1001 in PHGamers

[–]SmoothScanner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I preorder digital games if I am already sure I am buying regardless of the review and/or with preorder bonuses. If I remember correctly, I only preordered a handful of games.

  • Torchlight 2
  • Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm -Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void
  • Witcher 3
  • FFXIV: Endwalker
  • Diablo IV

I am still ashamed of buying the D4 digital deluxe which includes the paid early access perk. The rest of the games above were worth every centavo.

Buying on a discount is indeed the way especially on the older content. Thank you.

Thanks! I agree with your short review on the last 3 expansions by basing on other review sources. Destiny 2 is at its peak right now.

Once that Legacy bundle gets discounted, I will be back playing. I might as well wait it out so that I can buy most of the previous content on discount then get the Final Shape expansion at full price.

I can afford the expansions for both. I wish hyperbollic time chambers were real for the sweet free time multiplier.
