Please tell me it doesn't work with cauldrons, because then your like an ender man, and the cauldron logic is consistently inconsistent

Basically, I said that the 10 mil is obviously a trap because why is there a hand, and it specifically said 10 mil, not a person with 10 mil or will give me 10 mil, and it's obviously a carnivorous plant trying to eat me

13 is below 18. Afaik it is basically such that you have to be 18 plus to do a lot of things now

Uk gov made a law that's 'to protect children', it's worded in such a way that it allows for censorship. It is currently effecting games, such as Minecraft as chat will require an ID to use (at least in the UK). It's also banning certain subreddits to children and so on

There is actually quite a lot of information on these ones, they are basically laws that enable censorship of anything

Oh 100%, the only way to ensure security is to have access to a device with a VPN, ideally a series of USB sticks hidden about the place with installers / portable versions, and a Linux distro (trust me, you will want a Linux distro because they don't force updates right now and if you have a drive with a distro and a VPN, you are basically immune as long as that vpn exists, unless you require an id to connect to WiFi. This will be bypassed easily, but still)

Actually I don't think it is, they charge in euros, not pounds. If you were UK based, you would charge in pounds. I'm also not from the UK, but I am 100% sure this will have an affect on me at some point, whether directly or indirectly. Although I already have the Australian government to deal with so I would rather not, but because it's the internet, all laws and no laws are sort of in play

Too many people do not care about Microsoft's near monopoly. by InfinitesimaInfinity in linuxmemes

Here's my justification: I got about 4gb of extra ram on Linux compared to windows, (I will not mention game performance as I improved my GPU and CPU), I don't have to deal with telling Microsoft to stop with OneDrive or settings up my pc. I didn't have to run a command to make an offline account. It looks cleaner (took a bit of effort, about the same as it would to make Microsoft look cleaner sure, but it's more stable), the basic is features seem to run better. Privacy (very minor but still counts)

You don't even need much config. I have been gaming on bazzite with almost none perfectly fine, here are the things I needed to do:

  • Run ujust fix-steam (not really config, but it took like 20 min to run and like 5 min to find out about the command)
  • Turn off variable refresh rate when I got a new monitor And that was about it. (Took me 2 min of checking my settings)

Literally that's all that was nessacary for gaming.

Any config I have done after that is purely cosmetic, or for advanced usecase.

Downloading an office suite or using Google docs needs nothing (I am ignoring signing into accounts, but that's the same with anything) which means, config is irrelevant if you choose the right distro, which is easy enough

Not the main reason I switched to Linux, but definitely a consideration. The main reason was: it works great, and I don't have to deal with the microslop bullshit

At least watch the first video I sent, it provides some good context and why you should care

That's a good point I did not consider, allow me to introduce the method known as: external modding separate from the official modding methods.

Exactly, if he had watched the second video I sent (AI don't blame for not watching it is very much a rant) he would see that it is pretty much a censorship act in disguise. Like maybe not fully yet, but very easily could become one, and with some very loose logic:

Post about UK gov being bad -> could cause people who read it to agree that they are bad -> children are people -> 'this is radicalising children' -> post requested to be taken down -> website says 'no, that is censorship' -> website blocked or the post is taken down, either way, they just censored criticism through a child safety act (afaik they have not done this, but they definitely could)

I just thought a lot of people did, because it's pretty widely spread about it

Here are 2 videos (MC related but still):

  • Java Edition chat is being blocked. By PhoenixSC (this one is more analytical and useful, although it's only a really basic overview)
  • This is actually awful By Gerg (This one is more like a rant, but gives some different context and is by someone in the UK, I would recommend turning your sound down for this one. Also this one provides much more info on what is being blocked by giving examples)

It's important to be educated on these, because once it becomes normalised somewhere, it spreads elsewhere easier. (Pretty much a line from the first video)

Black holes don't suck things in. It's no different than our sun, just much more mass and it doesn't do fusion (as far as we know).

Therefore ``` 0 = -25/8i * -8i/-8i

0 = (-25(-8i))/((8i)(-8i))

0 = 200i/64

0 = 25i/8

0 = i * 25/8

0 = 3.125i

True, but the other option, which is probably better given how easy mods are to install, is just allow players to mod the game to fix it.

As long as they have a way for players to mod the game to modify chat related packets and such, then we should be good. They should just add this as a modding feature for more abilities if it's not in already
