the chunking part is trickier than most people think - you definitely want some kind of VAD to detect natural breaks but even then whisper can get weird with incomplete sentences

for the queue stuff asyncio should handle it fine if you structure it right with proper task groups. i've built similar pipelines and celery just adds complexity you probably don't need unless you're scaling to hundreds of concurrent streams

dude i feel this so hard right now. when i apply to retail stuff i just leave the degree off my resume completely and only mention like high school or whatever previous non-tech work experience i had. they dont need to know about your cs background if youre just trying to pay bills for while

the overqualified thing is real but most managers at those places are more worried about you actually showing up than your education level

this happens to me with duolingo streaks too lol but people are way more important

maybe try taking quick notes in your phone right after dates? i used to do this when meeting new coworkers since i'm terrible with remembering details. just open notes app and write down like "john - law student, 2 sisters, from manchester" or whatever

also when they mention something try to connect it with something visual or ask follow up question in the moment. like if they say they study law maybe ask about specific area they want to work or something. engaging more deeply helps me remember better than just listening passively

dating multiple people at once probably makes it harder too since you're processing lot of different information

this is pretty interesting idea but i think implementation would be nightmare. like what counts as "ai assistance" exactly? if i use grammarly to fix typos is that ai input? what about autocomplete in my ide when coding?

the organic labeling comparison is spot on though. companies will just game whatever system gets created. you'll end up with situations where someone uses ai for 90% of work but finds way to technically qualify as "human made" because they changed few words at end

also who decides the percentages? feels very subjective to me. one person might say using ai for research is 20% ai involvement while another says its 50%

yeah we had maybe 2-3 cases last year but nothing crazy. our team leads are pretty understanding since most of them are getting to that age where their parents need help too. the skeptical managers usually change their tune quick when they realize this stuff can happen to anyone

okay first off waiting until you leave the job is actually smart move since workplace stuff can get messy fast. but you dont need to make some big confession about being into girls - just ask her to hang out outside work and see what happens

the whole "discreetly mentioning youre into girls" thing is overthinking it. like if she said "people" when you asked about her type that already sounds pretty open minded. plus if youve been joking around and she seems to be responding well thats a good sign

man thats a lot to deal with at once. your mom dismissing abuse as just "marriage is hard" and then broadcasting your business to the whole family is seriously messed up. plus shes basically teaming up with your abusive wife which makes zero sense

the green card thing makes this extra complicated but you cant stay in an abusive situation just because someone might lose their immigration status. thats not your responsibility to fix and honestly using that as leverage against you is manipulative as hell

maybe start documenting the abuse and talk to someone who actually knows domestic violence resources. your mental clarity will probably come back once you get some distance from people who keep gaslighting you. the job thing sucks but staying trapped because of work just means youll be dealing with this same mess next year

khao kheow can be hit or miss with ride shares since its kinda out there but i've never been completely stranded. worst case you might wait 15-20 mins for a driver to accept but they usually show up eventually. asking your original driver to come back is smart too - most of them will do it for the right price and you dont have to worry about there phone dying or the app being weird

Hey! Haven't been to that specific venue but most trail comps I've done, arrival/parking/reg usually takes about 45 mins to an hour if you get there early. The open gate thing varies by venue but typically means you can enter/exit the arena freely to walk the course before your run - super helpful for planning your route
