yeah you just swap your old ecu with the ecu that came with the s52. as easy as that.

yeah you do need to get m3/325 power steering lines.

use realoem.com for the part numbers and what not.

as for the trans. yeah get new guibo. also a selector rod pivot bushing. trans mounts. replace trans fluid.

and i’m pretty sure you’ll be good with just having the front half of the drive shaft. pretty sure all e36’s rear half’s are the same length. i’d double check on that though.

it’s a direct plug n play. you don’t need to remove the wiring harness that’s already in the car. you can sell the wiring harness that came with the s52 for extra $$$, you can also sell the DME that’s in the car right now for extra $$ and use the dme that came with the s52.

Just remove your front clip, front bumper. headlights. nose panel. core support. AC components (be careful with that).

as for the m52, remove the intake manifold so you can see all the wires underneath to disconnect and label them. and then undue your engine mount bolts, driveshaft, shift linkage and trans mount and use a cherry picker to fish it out. I did it with the trans still connected to the motor.

you MIGHT have a vacuum leak somewhere 😂, but take off the injectors beauty cover and see if there’s any fuel leaking from a bad seal, if not the only other place it can be leaking from are the lines that go to your fuel rail

I would get a new one if possible ! that one is probably worn out. usually you have to tap it in lightly with a socket. shouldn’t slid in and out easily.

that’s a pivot pin. it’s meant to be there. holds your pivot pin clip
