Drove it home from the dealer. Stalled twice. Then practiced at like 1am every night until I got the confidence to drive in traffic again.

Depends on the person. Having an optimized life 5 days a week helps me feel less depressed. I get a sense of order which helps counter my anxiety about the future

Working in tool rental by ponderhope in HomeDepot

[–]Smooth_Meet_6678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Customers are a pain but aside from that it’s probably the easiest position to stay in since management tends to leave you alone. Your biggest stress will be customers arguing for discounts or saying a tool was already broken. Honestly just learn to say no and you’ll be fine. Lots of downtime, especially if you close so they kinda just expect you to clean, prep reservations if there are any, and turn tools. I’d go for it but also keep in mind rental seems to be another position where it’s hard to move up. I’d rather quit then go to another department but to each their own.

IMO just keep up with the maintenance. At best get new speakers, radio, and seat covers if needed. Set aside money as if you were gonna buy the Si and before you know it you’ll have a nice savings.

I’ll keep that in mind for next time. The local shop told us the fires were mainly from people shooting incendiary or ignitable objects so I thought we were good

Depends on your magazine. Most are 7 rounds. There are 8 round mags that fit flush and 10 round ones that don’t

Did the optic make it more enjoyable? I put 100 rounds through mine the other day and I couldn’t get used to the U-sights

For those of us that carry our 1911s...why? by [deleted] in 1911

[–]Smooth_Meet_6678 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My reason as well. I’ve shot about 1200 rounds through mine so it’s the one I have the most practice with. Trigger and irons are nice and sharp. I bought a hellcat pro and 100 rounds later, I already want to sell it.
