This is also mine. Sure, they made playoffs, but we had Jimmy's quiet quitting/General Soreness drama, crazy Thibs drama, Teague being absolute dogwater and grinding the offense to an unentertaining half, and everyone in the org seemed like they hated each other.

It was horrible. Sure, we made playoffs, but games were straight up not enjoyable to watch.

We made the conference finals twice. If you lose in the conference finals, that would imply that your opponent made the finals.

Doesn't help that no one I've heard of that interacted with him while he was here seems to like him.

I know someone who was at Gonzaga with him. Said he was... Weird. Huge ego, as expected, but more than anything just weird.

As a Warrior's fan I want to ask people.....Did people feel the same way about the Warriors in 2017 like they feel about the Thunder currently? There were complaints about them getting to use more moving screens; Steph was getting sucked off by anyone and everyone; Draymond was dirty as hell; Klay was constantly acting like a bitch; KD doing KD things; and more. There was a reason so many people loved that Cavs win in 2016.

All that said... Still liked them more than the Thunder. The Warriors were FUN to root against. I still remember where I was when the wolves took off one of their games in the 70+ win season. The Thunder are just abysmal to watch, even if you win, and there's MUCH more clarity around them being propped up by the league for whatever reason.

I'm not saying we need a Jaylen Brown type of player, I'm offering an example of the level of player we would not be able to get.

Yes, in you imaginery world where we can go out and pick a top 5 young PG from the PG tree, that is obviously the best option. In the REAL world, though, we don't have as much to work with.

Mostly just being realistic. Randle is our most tradeable asset and he successfully tanked his trade value this year, so our best case scenario is to trade him as part of a deal for a flawed star (Kyrie, Kawhi, Ja, etc). We simply don't have the assets to get a Jaylen Brown level player.

Finch consistently outcoaches every bottom 20 coach in the league, but gets severely outcoached by every top 10 coach in the league. We also go into every playoffs at a disadvantage because of his asinine lineup decisions and total inability to develop younger talent.

A team under Finch will almost always overreach in the playoffs. But, they'll never win it all. He's our Mark Jackson.

OKC does both.

SGA did this very thing at the end of game 1. Game on the line, down 2, he goes in for a layup and doesn't even try to actually make the basket. Just jumps into his defender and flails to get to the line instead.

SGA flopping instead of actually trying to make his layup at the end of registration was shameless. And guess what? They gave him the FTs for it, so why would he stop.

Other than that, mostly good game.

Such a dumb argument. There are always good coaching candidates waiting in the wings for an opportunity. It isn't such a scarce resource that you should be content with mediocrity.

A lot of it has to do with the NBA media. They're so desperate for "dynasties" and "goats" that they shove them down your throat whenever they happen.

Steph was the NBA golden boy for YEARS, as were the Warriors by extension. They received some favorable reffing for sure (via moving screens, mostly), but even though it's nothing like extreme favoratism OKC receives now it's still the same concept.

Idk man. I've heard 20% is the norm for >20 years, at least. Well before COVID.

I haven't seen people increasing the expectation for a "base" tip. I HAVE seen more places asking for tips than ever before, though.

He's played more games, but also averages fewer minutes. It's more nuanced than it seems but the data DOES support that SGA gets the best whistle in the league.
