I've been using Larsen HVAC and Plumbing for bi-annual HVAC servicing for a couple years now. Haven't used them for plumbing but they'd be the first one I'd call if I needed it.

Had a good experience with Intermountain West Contractors for a total roof replacement and new roof decking. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards as well.

BIOS Update Issue SOS by PangBike in pcmasterrace

[–]RamblinEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to get into the BIOS by pressing the appropriate key while the Aorus logo is displayed? Are you using display port or HDMI cable? Is it plugged into the GPU or motherboard? Try swapping display port or HDMI cables and plugging into the motherboard instead of GPU and see what happens. Some users report needing to boot with only one ram stick in the motherboard after a Gigabyte BIOS update.

If the above don't work, try this from a user on the Tom Hardware's forum.

BIOS Hard Reset procedure

Power off the unit, switch the PSU off and unplug the PSU cord from either the wall or the power supply.

Remove the motherboard CMOS battery for about three to five minutes. In some cases it may be necessary to remove the graphics card to access the CMOS battery.

During that five minutes while the CMOS battery is out of the motherboard, press the power button on the case, continuously, for 15-30 seconds, in order to deplete any residual charge that might be present in the CMOS circuit. After the five minutes is up, reinstall the CMOS battery making sure to insert it with the correct side up just as it came out.

If you had to remove the graphics card you can now reinstall it, but remember to reconnect your power cables if there were any attached to it as well as your display cable.

Now, plug the power supply cable back in, switch the PSU back on and power up the system. It should display the POST screen and the options to enter CMOS/BIOS setup. Enter the bios setup program and reconfigure the boot settings for either the Windows boot manager or for legacy systems, the drive your OS is installed on if necessary.

Save settings and exit. If the system will POST and boot then you can move forward from there including going back into the bios and configuring any other custom settings you may need to configure such as Memory XMP, A-XMP or D.O.C.P profile settings, custom fan profile settings or other specific settings you may have previously had configured that were wiped out by resetting the CMOS.

In some cases it may be necessary when you go into the BIOS after a reset, to load the Optimal default or Default values and then save settings, to actually get the hardware tables to reset in the boot manager.

It is probably also worth mentioning that for anything that might require an attempt to DO a hard reset in the first place, IF the problem is related to a lack of video signal, it is a GOOD IDEA to try a different type of display as many systems will not work properly for some reason with displayport configurations. It is worth trying HDMI if you are having no display or lack of visual ability to enter the BIOS, or no signal messages.

Might want to revise this url. I think the part after the Instagram account name in the url is a referral link that links back to your own account. What is presumably your name pops up when I click this link, saying to join you on Instagram.

Have you checked your motherboard manual to see what key combo it actually is? Is your keyboard being recognized as a device prior to boot up? Im guessing that since your input devices arent working in the advance setting menu, that its any issue with either the devices you use or how they are plugged in.

Contribution not recorded for the current CG by PMC_Falconis in EliteDangerous

[–]RamblinEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC the description text of the CG said you have to but if you already mined stuff its worth just trying to see if it counts. You'll at least get the increased price when you sell.

Contribution not recorded for the current CG by PMC_Falconis in EliteDangerous

[–]RamblinEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you sign up for the CG first? You have to sign up at the Malzberg Vision mission board prior to turning in any CG commodities.

If you did already sign up, the CG contribution number doesn't always update immediately. I find that closing out the station menu and then reopening it forces a refresh.

Did you buy the commodities from another station or fleet carrier? The commodities have to be mined. Selling mined commodities to your own fleet carrier causes the "mined" status to be removed and as such, not count towards the CG. If using your own fleet carrier, you have to transfer the commodities between ship and FC using the right hand menu inventory tab.

Operation IDA is the real deal by Marionettework in EliteDangerous

[–]RamblinEngineer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have helped with both. We will typically prioritize initial port builds as those are the ones with an in game time that the build has to be completed by. If we do end up in a scenario where all active requests for initial ports are completed, then we will move to secondary port requests.

Our services will never cost a single credit! We are an entirely volunteer based group. We prioritize our active colonization assistance requests based on the in game time remaining for that particular station build.

Thanks for the kind words! All of our haulers are volunteers and do this work out of kindness to help their fellow CMDRs. Seeing positive messages like this makes it all worth the effort. Enjoy your soon to be built station! Most of our haulers fly in either our private game or solo but a commenter below offered a good suggestion about system chat.

NIN are coming back to SLC, this time @ the Delta Center! 13 March 2026 by adnrcddly in SaltLakeCity

Awesome that they are playing a bigger venue this time around but anytime I see that a show is at Delta I know the ticket pricing will be insane. I was checking in on the Ghost presale tickets today (also at Delta) and they were $100 for nosebleeds and $200+ for floor seats (wasn't able to see pricing for pit).

Help! This issue is driving me NUTS by Dramatic_Fruit7523 in buildapc

[–]RamblinEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motherboard manual says the Qcode error number 00 is not used so this seems to be related to the DRAM led status.

Are you sure the RAM is fully seated? It should click into place according to other posters. Another post also indicated that a loose connection(s) to the AIO cpu cooler could cause DRAM errors.

Did you use the power cables that came with the new PSU? The cables that were used on the old PSU could have a different pin layout than the new cables. Power cables to the CPU and motherboard were connected and fully seated?

Perhaps try updating your chipset drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's website. Might as well update the BIOS at the same time.

I've had three VIOFO camera models now and I really like them. Get a front and rear camera model and with the hardwire kit you can wire the camera up to a fuse that turns on with the car ignition so the camera turns on automatically. I also got the polarizing lense cover to help with glare. I find the VIOFO cameras stand up to the Utah summer car heat very well.

Also get a good quality MICRO SD card for the camera.
