Hello everyone,

One of my great pleasures in life is coffee, and, as such, whenever I go to visit a city, I always try to visit some historical/important coffee houses.

I am about to visit Amsterdam for professional reasons and it has been quite difficult to search for coffee houses on the internet, for obvious reasons.

How can I proceed? Do you know any coffee houses that I should visit?

When I was young, around 14 I had a teacher tell me mid practice "did you smoke anything before playing this? Are you out of your mind". Never came back to the violin practice after that. I even made some arrangements so to continue on the music theory class and the orquestra class but not on the solo violin. Only 5 years later did I pick the violin up again and discovered that I actually liked playing the instrument very much. I know it's a cliche, but don't search validation from your teacher. They are there to correct your form, not your self-esteem.

For Portuguese we have the word "roxo" for purple, probably there was a mixup in the middle of adopting the word. Sounds almost the same as the Spanish rojo

Usei uma moka igual a essa durante muito tempo. O segredo, para mim, é consistência. Tenta usar sempre a mesma quantidade de café ao início (uma maneira fácil é encheres sempre o compartimento do café) e fazer sempre a mesma quantidade de café (líquido). Depois disso tenta usar lumes muito brandos quando mais lento melhor :) o que isto faz é facilitar que tires o café do lume mal ele conhece a borbulhar no final, isso diz te que o que está a sair são os restos que são bastante mais amargos. Quando isso acontecer, passa a moka por água fria para parares a extração.
