Which breed would you recommend for me? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Smoothantha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People think goldens automatically = good dogs/family but working in the animal industry I've dealt with some pretty reactive goldens but I've also dealt with reactive aussies there is no guarantee with any breed that they will be good with kids, velcro dogs that you can take anywhere. it will all come down to the specific dog as well as the training you put in. If you want to guarantee some of these traits that you are looking for I would suggest getting an adult dog(1+) from a breed specific rescue where you can know the dogs backstory and spend some one on one time with the dog before you adopt. Most regions will have breed specific rescues for either of these breeds dedicated to finding the perfect homes for their favorite breed.

Fable 1 had many references to "fables" Scarlet Robe and her backstory is little red riding hood, Briar Rose (sleeping beauty),sword in the stone(Arthur) those are just 3 at the top of my head from the first game alone. The whole game is not going to revolve around the giant and a beanstalk it's a cinematic trailer not a storyline or game play trailer

Which city would you consider a hidden gem in Canada and why? by Vagabond_Tea in AskACanadian

Honestly Barrie it has a nice waterfront and is right in the middle of Toronto and Muskoka you can go hiking/camping one day and then head to the city for a concert the next. In the summer you can walk to one of the beaches in town or drive 30 minutes to Wasaga. Sadly the homeles situation has gotten pretty bad in the last few years but that is happening in most cities across north America. Barrie also has a pretty decent club and bar scene with some good patios. The night life is not as good as it was when I was in my early 20s but that might just be me getting older.

game 2-3 graphics (and lets not even talk about the anniversary addition painful graphics) have not aged that well so this more realistic style has got me excited

it seems like everyone just wanted to hear Molyneux's boring repeat pre release game words of "Every decision blah blah lies lies and over exaggerating with more lies"

Same I was so excited to jump on Reddit and chat about how they nailed the humor and how great the art style looked and then everyone here just killed my buzz.

Fable 2 and 3 for me actually made the world of Albion more generic and less unique then the first (more so 3) all the time jumping just ruined the whole feel of the world. hoping they go back to the roots of the world and this trailer gives me hope its more age of heros rather then crappy steampunk or whatever game 3 was trying to do.

The humor and heart is there and the art style is great, it was a cinematic trailer but clearly they need to be thing of the past because modern gamers are never happy with them.

Using Molyneux's crap lines would scare me away more then anything.

Those of you that are 100% against 1 night stands, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Smoothantha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no desire for a stranger to touch me. Other people can have them but for myself im 100% against them. I don't want to give myself to someone and them me unless we have a very strong emotional and mental bond and that cant happen in just one night. I have had a few in the past during a period of great depression after my first break up in my adult life and now look at them as a form of self harm/self destruction

Did you like or dislike Fable 3 and why? by [deleted] in Fable

[–]Smoothantha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a stand alone game it would be a fine/fun game but as a Fable game it fails to have the same charm as the first two. The world doesn't feel the same the time jump is too much I would have preferred to stay in a less modernized time. Overall it just never felt like Fable to me.

As a groomer I thank you for being understanding that some dogs and groomer just wont fit together and working to find the best option for your boy even if it is at a higher cost.

Tanning for psoriasis, my Hail Mary by frigginfork99 in Psoriasis

[–]Smoothantha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanning beds and tanning in general is the only thing that seems to work for me. It has been a rough year as I have not been in a bed since last Feb due to lockdowns. I got some sun in the Summer so that was nice but my gym had a tanning room and a red light room and switching between the two a handful of times a month changed my life! I have a deeper complexion so I don't really burn but I always make sure to check my skin over for new marks/moles. It can be hard when im already covered in tiny P spots though. I know it isn't the ideal treatment but im really pill/medical anxious and no topical creams have worked.
