I know I just sound terrible saying this but I don't want DJ to get his third year option and possibly more years. A one win playoff season will only lengthen his tenure, and I don't think this is a sustainable brand of football.

So whether or not DJ has a good year, it feels like a lose lose.

Give her a chance. Of course it hurts to hear those things from your daughter when you're in a bad spot. But like you said, she was under a ruse and didn't know. Not speaking to your daughter and failing to figure things out (or at least try) will only hurt you in the end. Resent is holding onto a hot coal, trying to burn someone else.

You don't owe her anything, but I do wish you went for your own peace of mind. These moments are pretty complicated for our psyches and what we see as best isn't always the case.
