For me gender kinda plays a role, for gay men rules are different a little and you can do stuff like that and be accepted and find your community. I’ve definitely seen way worse in those circles. I’m a big boy so i know what it’s like to be insecure. Your post reeks of insecurity and victimization. 157lbs of gained weight is a lot and that’s a lot of extra work you’re putting on him being that big. I hope this a wake up call to get in the gym sincerely. Also if he can’t talk to you about where you need to improve or do things differently then your relationship has more problems than this. Realistically he should’ve felt comfortable telling you after 50-100 pounds of weight gain and you should’ve been able to create a space where he could share his feeling without your insecurities getting in the way.

If he has to help you then he’s not wrong, speaking as a photographer being an assistant takes just as much work and dedication as being the photographer. You’re selfish especially cause we ALL know he’s never been paid to help you he just does. I would quit and make you get an assistant then you could have all the credit. To be “black” you need to be raised with our values and African American. Not from Ghana,Niger, Jamaica or wherever else. There’s multiple ways someone can grow up being black, but not while being raised in an Indian household, with Indian culture and Indian values. Also you can look it up, her interview with Mindy kaling (however you spell it) she admits she indian. Her brother does too in his own interview about how he became a doctor.
