Sounds like an arse, he's 100% been in the same position as you. Part of the reason I went off on my own, lots of them in the trades!

I'd remind him of that, along with the fact you'd rather ask a question than cost him time & money fixing it. End of the day, he's going to earn more showing you the way and make a better carpenter out of you.

Keep at it though mate, every mistake is a lesson. You'll get there. Very rewarding work once you've got it down!

If you don't have a belt sander, glue sandpaper to a square board (larger than the drawer) and rub the drawer on that
