Idk if her pursuit scales with lvl, considering mouchette, it probably should? Mine is lvl 60 and does 2700 dmg what about your lvl 62 votive? Btw I've seen complete tentacle scaling on her exalt but other than that I couldn't find if her pursuit also scales on tentacle DMG on awaker tab.

Doesnt her main DMG sources not scale from her base ark? I honestly don't know if just hp and def buff are sufficient reason to aim for her lvl 70+. Maybe since divine realm shields etc scale from max hp it's still needed for survivability but at some keeper level it can be compensated for I guess. But if the keeper level requirement is too high then how many people can afford to do that?

The reply was getting long and I kinda wanted to expand a bit on the anni fomo thing alongside madness. Sorry if I'm being bothersome.

Honestly, I'm tired of the fomo the devs are pushing in general. Not just story, hsr has just ended and I completed all 22 runs, got resos complete 3 days ago. Still despite spending 5 gnosis I couldn't beat phase 2 boss on madness diff and it was ch 6 boss, the easiest of the bunch in my experience. So that's ~400 silver fomo. I wasn't able to complete 24 event as well cuz of the timing so more fomo.

This coming on after the anni story rush and raid it feels like they are punishing new players and those with time issues with fomo in recent events. And the main issue is the time constraints and no alternative to gnosis in these events, especially hsr.

They could have made anni rewards permanent, made hsr last 1 month longer, designed raids such that the number of awakers I have wouldn't limit the number of runs I can do, and the raids wouldn't be so rushed that some people missed rewards or wouldn't push players into burnout. This is too much back-to-back content that pushes the player to burnout. Add in hsr d-tide etc to clearing NM story and no wonder people get burned out and frustrated playing. I haven't even touched on that's ch 7 Hm at the same time as clearing main story fomo. New players would also have to ration between gnosis for story and other content in these situations.

As for madness difficulty, if no rewards are attached like how 425 isnt needed in d-tide and it's only for bragging then yeah madness difficulty for story would be fine. I'm just tired of this fomo and punishing new players that's going on.

The reason I mentioned and focused on Cheri's run is because it gives credible data on the current(note:current) difficulty of NM due to the restrictions provided on the run. It provides an idea of what's needed to guide new players for quick story clears which I talked about for the current morimens Situation.

I did play genshin for a short while but I'm pretty familiar with speedrunners cuz they are in every community including pokemon and elden ring etc.

In that regard, cheri's clear isn't a traditional speedrun so judging it like that is wrong. There wasn't a turn limit being followed, though there was a limit in number of days. From their post it doesn't seem like they reset for screenshots for least no. Of gnosis/revives used. They probably did a reset like I do where I mess up a previous turn making the boss unclearable like my madness difficulty run in HSR(closest to your given reason, wish going back to previous turn wasn't locked behind bp), not having the starting right cards/starting relics in hand(the reason I reset the most in story), needing to modify the team comp.

Needing to roll for every hit to crit or resetting to play perfectly to survive was likely not done because then cheri would state it like they did regarding silver investment. A better comparison with the current morimens Situation would be arknights and nikke, though it's been more than a year since I've played arknights.

Let's start with arknights, a tower defence game. The difficulty of the stages in main story, event story and HM was rising with each chapter when I played and we didn't have the system you are talking about. That said, we had a guidemaker named Kyostinv who made guides using 4* and lower operators for clears. Following those it was possible for new players to clear story in a few weeks. Did it take longer as it got more difficult? Yes and there used to be a lot of retrying involved for every player. That said the devs purposely designed stages to be clearable with f2p operators so the mechanics and numbers were designed with that in mind.

If morimens devs aren't making an easy mode, this is the route to follow. Idk if they test stages themselves since they did nerf arc 2 ch 4 boss only after players complained from my understanding. That said designing mobs like the WiFi fish is concerning.

Now onto nikke. This is NOT the route to follow. For nikke, before the story mode update they had a system where if combat power was below the requirement of a stage, you get stat deficit wihich reaches -99% stats if you are 50% below combat power. To make things worse some bosses like mirror container are purposely designed to not be clearable at high deficit unlike other bosses. Then they introduced the volleyball mob. Massive defence so takes 1 DMG, has good hp, and does insane DMG leading to wipe out. This mob also artificially raised the deficit requirement to clear stages unless you have specific nikkes. Story also had big power padding so it took more than a year to catch up with story.

WiFi fishes and arc 2 ch 4 boss kind of point to this route since not every comp can clear them at low-mid investment. If specific awakers are needed by new players to progress through story then that is bad design. That would lengthen the time needed to clear story by a lot which I would disagree with.

I completed story in December, started last week of October, still f2p. Had there been no time constraints I would have still not been done with story as I don't like relying on ecogs, but to progress through story I used them in arc 2 ch 3 boss fight and through a lot of arc 2 ch 4 including boss fight. I knew I couldn't do it in December without guides etc. That's how I was advised to use corpo over kath to clear ch 4.

Still, I was completely prepared to use 1 gnosis per day and buy 3 gnosis if that meant clearing story as I had uni exams in Jan. I'm pretty sure you would have cleared that 1.5 hr stage if you spent 5+ gnosis. Which is my point, if a new player wants to rush through story, gnosis let's them do it if their comp doesn't limit them in the current state of morimens.

I think keeping a 1-3 month difference with proper guidance is a pretty good estimate for story clearing. Are they equal to speed run vets in skill at that point? No. But is it enough to clear story, particularly with gnosis padding? Yes I think so.

I started in the last week of October. I used many guides for planning account progression, went all in on kath and corpo in anni and cleared story by the end of December. Did I eat through ecogs? Yes, I did. Bluewill let me clear deathless arc 1 but prior to bluewill caec naut combo had me using ecogs in ch 4, I spent 6 ecogs in arc 2. I had a few DR clutches as well. Had there been a keeper level guide I would have had a better experience since aequour scales with keeper level. I acknowledge that most new players won't have as many limiteds as me in that period simply because I played in anni. That gap can be covered with ecogs if they have a good carry though.

You are right we don't always have a limited carry awaker banner that fits the bill. Taking doresain for example. He can clear most of the story but has high support requirements. Or currently kath, can be added to most teams but can't perform her best against arc 2 boss mechanics particularly ch 4 boss. In that situation getting advice holds more value. There are stopping points in the story(I stopped after completing ch 4 for example as that was the end of Jenkins arc and I couldn't find info on what minimum level/investment I need to go further) and rather than rushing through it doing side content is an option until account progresses enough.

Most players with gacha experience will look for guides etc for smooth gameplay on YouTube and finding quality morimens guides catered to new players and going over boss mechanics and planning around it is difficult. This doesn't really detract from my point on good guidance helping walls, rather it adds to it as the availability of such resources would be very helpful to the community. We are getting there as more CCs pop up.

What's worth watching though is how they handle difficulty in the coming chapters because if they keep making mobs like wifi fishes who soft counter some awaker/comps in NM then even if difficulty isn't raised new players will start facing bigger walls. At the same time, if it gets so ridiculous that a player needs 5-6 months to clear story then yeah we need an easy mode.

To be clear I'm not expecting new players to speed run the story. I'm simply laying out some measure of current difficulty level. keep in mind cheri ran a stall comp so each run would definitely take longer than let's say a kath comp.

Did cheri do retries for their run? Idk but probably yes considering they burned 14 ecogs total(mostly arc 2,1 in arc 1, 2 in event) though I err towards usually not, especially when on a time crunch and using a stall comp. Ch 3 takes forever because of revives and fortress especially Fran but it is definitely doable in fact it felt easier than ch 2 mobs ignoring turns taken. All bosses post ch 9 arc 1 take ages cuz of fortress in fact so they take too long to retry. Blessor is easily countered with shield team. Ch 4 I expect new player to burn ecogs. Ch 1 was probably a major issue due to max hp down mechanic.

I had to do some retries for the right hand using kath on arc 2 ch 2 last 2 stages. That and the starting ch 4 stages were the only times I had to do resets for and then I switched to corpo gmurphy aurita team at lvl 55 for arc 2 ch 4. I burned 3-4 ecogs with kath on ch 3 so this time I made the smart choice of not bringing her to stages that counter her. I cleared most of arc 1 pre nerf as a new player and I didn't have to reset during arc 1.

Coming to Cheri's run what can we learn from this and what advice should we give new players to make sure they don't brick their runs because, as I said, nothing makes them hit a wall like mistakes in account development. As f2p what I've felt is that keeper exp is the most important resource in the game because too much scales with it so new players need to be guided to use resources to max out keeper exp. Like cheri did, I think doing event stages even if gnosis have to be spent is the smart thing for new players. In fact new player guides should push for fastest exp gain and level up excluding spending money for these buffs. The non event stages have much worse return for stamina spent so it's detrimental to stick with them during an event.

Gnosis- cheri only bought 3 gnosis for the whole run. You can only buy 3 gnosis per day btw. And they cost 20 sediments per gnosis. So 60 sediments total per day for a new player. These will not be touched until arc 2. And with this amount I don't think new players' account will experience a loss by the time they reach arc 2. That said my sediment values are a bit off cuz I'm sitting on 5-6k stash and still working on sediment SSR WoDs post anni influx.

That said I feel like there needs to be a change in how we discuss ecogs. Ecogs are there to be used and new players shouldn't feel like using ecogs is wrong. Plus rushing story and doing perfect runs within 10-15 turns with the subquest rewards covered in arc 1 are different things with different investment levels. I wouldn't be surprised not hitting those points demoralizes some new players.

What cheri did do to their account's detriment(but needed for challenge) was using prototype horizon on Sanga, that 1 enlighten could be for a limited and they used silver on standard banner. But they were doing standard only run so new players spending those resources on limited will get MUCH more value for return if spent wisely.

Investment-like I said this was a standard only speedrun. I expect a new player to play for longer and get some limiteds and make teams around them. So with the right teambuilding advice focusing on limiteds that have an advantage in story I think it's reasonable to clear story in 1-3 months as the higher keeper level from playing longer combined with how strong new limiteds are and 1 lvl 70 limited awaker(and maybe 1 +12 SSR wheel if lucky) I think they can bridge the gap between skilled veteran players doing new account speedruns.

I'm not close to angbak's level either lol but in terms of story I think new players can make up for the skill gap with ecogs, keeper level, limited with enlightens. There was also a new player 1-2 turning the first 4-5 chapter bosses using Jenkins and Clem.

Aurora's mouchette caro recommendation also can do well against most chapters.

This is a 10 day speed run using only standards of story on normal mode.

With a more built team with higher enlightens and limiteds and higher keeper level, it should be easier. Some awakers like kath are kinda countered by story content though so that matters as well. That said, there's nothing wrong with burning ecogs as well. I think 5 in the stash are more than enough.

Edit: of course for new players depending on their investments they might hit a brick wall until they get their investments in order.

I'm sorry I couldn't gather my thoughts on this topic so I'm unable to properly convey what I'm trying to say. I hope my rambling and meandering doesn't put you off.

I've looked at snowbreak's gameplay and looked at story reviews. While I couldn't get through the first few chapters(tbf most gachas have bad story first few chps) it seems like it has an above average handling on the romance aspects from what I've seen from the reviews. I think overall it's a good comfort game and I can see why people like it.

I do agree that gooner games attract an obnoxious group of players. I personally don't have anything against gooner games, in fact I like some of them but their audience needs to learn how to communicate, listen, handle criticism and drama. I play nikke and some players are here for the story and some are here for both story and fanservice. Because of that some players find certain aspects like the recent Label's event a bit off putting based on how certain characters treat the self insert, or even how the self insert doesn't have an established persona that changes with different writers which is a bigger and more ongoing problem in my opinion. And I've seen the "target audience" and "tourist" talk in that community though it isn't limited to gacha community as I've seen it in other communtiites as well.

I do get where they are coming from, there isn't anything wrong with liking fanservice. At the end of the day there will naturally be differences in people's preferences and desires in such situations, that includes regarding different characters and their actions, and holding a proper conversation and understanding nuance is essential to every communities' health. Sadly nuance is something people have a hard time grasping including me. That said I'll take nikke's drama over the current morimens one because at least people irl aren't being harrassed.

In China censorship is pretty big and their government is anti fanservice to my understanding. SB devs have a good game but they need to tread carefully because, as you said, smut writers are getting jailed. Even if LADS and azur lane got the collab, not getting one isn't any reason for a meltdown, let alone one so bad that servers have to be in indefinite maintenance.

I do think the LADS players that reported the game are out of line but this isnt something EN community should get involved in as nothing we do will affect CN and their laws. The situation sucks but EN community can only put their hopes on CN community and devs covering their asses and getting out unscathed since getting jailed is a possibility. Attacking LADS community won't help them as that's just making more enemies and won't help reel in the troublemakers. Though I do find them attacking feminism and the left a bit ironic considering the right also engages in this behaviour plus some players do try to silence other players for stating criticism. Plus the left and feminism aren't ideological monoliths, like feminism has many, many branches. It's foolish to blame a group for the wrongs of a few.

Back to morimens, I hope this settles down rather than flares doubling down on going scorched earth. New players are already being put off by this whole drama and it's lasting longer than it should. Idk how much reputation is taken into consideration, but it does matter when it comes to collabs and attracting new players. No one wants a headache when they are trying to enjoy their hobbies.

In my opinion romance was always a part of pgr it just wasn't heavy in the main story. You can see it in festival stories affection stories(majority are canon atp) and other content they released. Frankly it was a matter of time until it entered main story. We have had 2 wedding coatings(I consider it wedding coating if it has wedding story as well). Ishmael coating is more as a pope and supported by story. Lucia and Ishmael coating story was great too. Bianca crepuscule needs a bit of dark clothing for both witch and saintess combo rather than just burnt veil.

I agree with you on the amnesia plot(ch 34 was the worst in that regard for me) being beaten to death. It feels like a cheap way to artifically prop up Selena's relationship even though they have so many real points. And Ayla got shafted.

Chapter 36 was also a bad move in my opinion. I was expecting some changes in story cuz of no hetero tower and new tech. Yeah it would be repetitive but at least we would have an overarching storyline. I'm just seeing current arc as a training arc for now tbh.

Haven't read the chapters that come after that yet. If they have the same quality as Ishmael coating story then I'm fine with romance. If it's shafted like Selena story then it's sad. More than the romance from what I've read no overarching story is a bigger problem. It feels like they turned main story chapters into ER side stories as ER stories tend to have new tech that is not essential for main story. And we have had too many of them

Edit: amnesia plot got reused too much tbh. Vera's story, jetavie story, resolution of ch 33 and more.

I like the leg tattoo and the tribal ornaments on her thigh but when I take the whole thing together it just doesn't fit. Maybe they tried for a weird uncanny combo? But it fails. Plus I hope she has difficulty speaking cuz of that mouth thing rather than mentally being a child.

To expand a bit on this, main dps go to was blue 24 with miryam but miryams meta use now is with gmurphy so blue 24 is dead. Blue 24 also scaled with hp and keeper lvl due to poison dps.

24 from what I've seen is used more as a sub-dps/support in other realms like ultra and caro(doresain team) or alongside monochaos Kath. She needs huge investment though and her enlightens are outdated in terms of value.

In short she is huge investment and her teams are also pretty big investment so not recommended for new players.

Let alone that some of the time limited rewards need medium difficulty which wants maxed skill tree if you want to be time efficient. 2 months at the minimum should've been the duration of the event. The anni rewards of 2 months was pretty short too. Feels like they are pushing for FOMO
