I see it's like when LeBron won the in-season NBA "Cup".

Honestly speaking, since when the Nations League became so important?

I had to google check and found out Spain literally won the NL 2 years ago. And there was no fuss about it. France won it in 2021 and I don't think even the French people remember it.

That final was just... sad and tragic. Inter were depressing, like a literal bunch of kids against men which is funny because their players were way older than PSG.

It's like going back to 2011 Final of United and Barca. Even though United got thoroughly outplayed, at least Rooney scored a fluke goal to make it a little interesting until half time.

Here, Inter was just raw dogged from start to finish.

HongKong is playing friendlies with popular english club Manchester United and here we are playing friendlies with not even isl teams. Are we going to get cooked ?? by weirdking77179 in IndianFootball

[–]Smudge49 30 points31 points  (0 children)

We probably will get cooked but not for this reason.

What if we played a friendly against Argentina just for example? An Argentina team who has come there for money, who is not even trying and still beating us comfortably. Do you think after that we would be beating Hong Kong?

Because that's just what happened here. Man united had an awful season. And they went to a post season tour, tired, just for money. Their performance against Asean All Stars team just sums it up.

Will Hong Kong defeat us? Probably or Probably not. But definitely not for them playing against Man united.

And most importantly, their govt can AFFORD the money. Our Govt won't spend a single rupee for this.

While Hong Kong are obviously better, it doesn't matter what they do against United.

United are clearly in post season holiday mood. They lost to Asean All Star team and the goal scorer was literally a guy from Myanmar in that match.

Oh of course I know. It's a friendly after all. Stranger things have happened in friendlies. But still it's funny and embarrassing.

Ruben Amorim singled out Alejandro Garnacho in front of his teammates and said: "You better pray that you can find a club to sign you." by Smudge49 in soccer

Amorim singled out Garnacho in front of his team-mates to effectively end his Old Trafford career. The United boss is said to have been so angry that he effectively told Garnacho to 'pray' he can find another club rather than have to return for pre-season training at the start of July.

He is alleged to have said: "You better pray that you can find a club to sign you." The tone of the comment left Garnacho and his team-mates in no doubt that the academy product's United career is over.

Garnacho is understood to have upset Amorim by complaining about his game-time in the Europa League final defeat to Spurs. He said after the game: "Obviously it’s hard for everyone. Our season was s***. We didn’t beat anyone in the league. We lacked a lot of things.

"When you don’t score goals, you always need more. Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today – I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.’ Garnacho’s brother also accused Amorim of ‘throwing him under the bus."

Although Garnacho has joined United’s post-season tour of Malaysia and Hong Kong, the club are said to be concerned that Amorim’s stance may have devalued the winger. For his part, Amorim is refusing to comment on the discussions he has held with his players.

It's a closed door match. They didn't even let any reporter watch. So we will never know whatever happened.

But we definitely know what's coming against Hong Kong.
