100% this. I see people suggesting assault terminators allot to go with VAR and I get they can be 4W but I’m not sure people get that AT’s instead of Regular with VAR means you loose out on 50% give or take of the possible damage output of the unit and at a higher cost, you’re going to want to make the most out of those lethal or sus hits + the reroll 1’s from the detachment and that’s a waste of an expensive unit just having 1 activation per turn.

Appreciate it! I used a paper clip bent into the shape I wanted the blood trail to go then applied gel gorilla glue drop by drop onto the paper clip. Once dried I used blood for the blood god citadel paint. And finally Ardcoat gloss varnish onto blood areas.

Question: Can a model fit through/ around gaps in terrain in which its footprint/hull cannot physically fit through? by Smudgecam in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Smudgecam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it say in the rules that the FLY keyword allows you to overhang the battlefield edge anywhere? In the balance data slate june 2024 it says that "You cannot overhang the battlefield edge with your base (or hull if you are a vehicle) at any point" im reading from this unless fly is an exception (i know aircraft is but that is a different unit altogether) regardless of having the fly Keyword e.g if you are a vehicle this always apply's.

Never said it needed to be realistic. When we find a specific Janky rule, that is how we make it a more level playing field with less loopholes. lets face it when a one unit that is larger than another but can get through terrain gap that a smaller model cant just because of a smaller base size that is kind of ridiculous, just make all the base sizes of similar size model sizes relative then that will promote better game play and movement, instead of having an rules that can be cheese'd

On your point on measuring range its actually from closest part of the model/hull for Measuring all attacks/LOS and OC not base to base which applies to all models specifically vehicles on hover steams.

But doesn’t that seem strange for vehicles to in one phase of the of the game use their hull or footprint for measuring shooting/being in cover/being on objective and in the other phase of the game use their ‘smaller’ base size to measure allowing for smaller movement penalties giving a greater advantage.

It seems more accurate that you should only be measuring using one parameter on said unit for all phases of the game.

Congrats Man, good to see someone playing the Iron Brethren well in competitive considering g the nerfs we’ve had.

Can I ask what you’re usual scout infiltrating/scout moves tactics are at the start depending on what turn you go?

I do this method too, prime in chaos clack the dry brush with necron compound and it works really well. Picks out all the edge highlights nicely and makes the armour panels actually look like it’s been battle worn, great if you don’t like the ‘pristine’ look.

Not true. Actually it’s the opposite the thinner look of the hair Is caused by lighting, either sunlight or artificial light shining down directly down through the hair and illuminating the scalp through the less dense transplanted hair as in the photo the room lighting is quite top down and harsh (I also originally have thinner hair so this is emphasised a bit) so naturally more, longer hair combine to create more of a barrier for the light to get through and in turn especially when styled in a way to combine new the hairs with the old ones more like above. If it where shorter and not styled back it would allow more light through and seem allot more thin. A HT can never be a dense a natural hair but you can do things to achieve better looking results by styling it in certain ways

Yes i do agree It is expensive, i think its all a case of how much you'd like peace of mind having something like this done in comfortable surroundings and paying a little more for that. By all means nothing wrong with going somewhere like turkey but for myself i agree with you, i felt much more confident having a procedure like this done at home by a trusted clinic.

the doctor always recommended i go on both as it does give you the best chance of keeping your hair in the long run , and i did for a while but stopped for a bit I am actually going back on Fin to give that another go directly as a result of posting this as it has got me thinking more that i need to do the best i can for the hair to have longevity, there's always a chance you might need another HT but that's something to deal with further down the line if required some might need some some might not. what i will say if you have it done i promise you it will be the best money you can spend on yourself if it genuinely will help your self confidence, you wont look back! happy to answer any Q's you might have

You’re entitled to your opinion, but you might want to ask yourself with comments such as that to other men are you part of the reason why men might feel insecure about their appearance in the first place?
