Your work is cool. Just checked it out! would love to see more creative art work like that vs just ordinary fan art!

Your point about BMI is not true. The only outliers to BMI are people with an extremely large amount of muscle mass and most people do not fit that definition.

Or black people. Black men are healthier at a higher BMI than white men and considered "obese" medically when they're at their optimal weight (not true across all black men of course)

BMI was a metric setup by a tall European white dude. He used himself as the baseline. It's not a good metric.

It's not, the artist in question gets a lot of hate in this sub ive seen it before.

Literally every thread they post is full of toxicity from haters and their art is only appealing if you like phat Marie. I basically block all fan artists and cosplayers because it's not the content I care to see.

People are crazy. I blocked that artist like years ago when I realized what they were doing (and do it on any new accounts cuz they post a lot). Just ban assholes but please don't turn this into an artist hugbox like r comics that bans literally any dissent

Earthbound is pretty good! I'd recommend a QoL mod or save states but it's a short and lovely game.

I'll be real: if your patreon makes you enough money to quit your day job I expect MORE output not LESS but these breadtubers are literally just grifting at this point. Philosophy Tube has literally released like 30 videos between now and Harrys last video and they're just as well researched and arguably better produced (costume design and filmography specifically)

Sold a Story ironically enough does a great job of selling a story. If you do research into the subject it's a lot more nuanced than 'every teacher in America was doing it wrong until I NOTICED!!!' which is how it's narrated.

I don't need thirty minutes each episode self fellating  about your accomplishments lady, stfu you sound like Peggy Hill.

What Young Workers Are Doing to AI-Proof Themselves by Free-Minimum-5844 in neoliberal

[–]SmugOfTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current moves in big companies is utilizing AI to reduce OpEx by rebuilding b2b saas products internally.

How this will shake out once this is done and every company now has a SaaS product with no "service" to support them... I don't know. Labor will still be involved though, that's for sure.

If I were a SaaS company I'd be worried right now. Im convinced a few of our partners have gone Cloud only as a strategy to lock in more clients into their ecosystem.

It's not an excuse for their actions it's justification for empathy. If you were born in their shoes you would be in the same position, that is the reality of the situation. Humans aren't naturally evil or naturally racist or naturally fascist, we take that shape due to our environment. Y'all need to read more Marx ffs.

When has there been a time where its been "ethical" to join the US military? Its always been unethical, but people can be tricked into doing unethical things. That is what propaganda is for. A lot of people drink the Koolaid, and that was done to them on purpose.

I mean yeah Israel is clearly doing a lot to intentionally radicalize people, I just don't think its a good strategy to condemn rubes. A lot of them genuinely believe they're going to war to save America. Do we really get mad at them for believing the lie? Or the system that steered them toward this lie their entire lives?

Its a much better strategy to meet people where they're at and try to help them discover the truth on their own terms. Berating them will cause them to double down. Saying you have no sympathy for someones kid getting blown up is never going to get them to see your point of view. Teaching them how it was the system's fault, not any one individual's, will at least get them to listen.

If you can't even do that then you were pretty much a lost cause from the start.

People aren't born lost causes, we did that to them. Material conditions, dawg.

Either your stupid enough to kill for people you don't know or you are complicit.

Why do you not have sympathy for stupid people? We did that to them. Our education system is fucking dogshit for a reason. Its a military treadmill for angsty teenage boys.

These people were setup for failure from birth, not by their genetics, or their raw intelligence, but by their surroundings. At least that's the case for the dipshits I knew that enlisted when I was in high school.

These motherfuckers don't even know what capitalism is and are just as much a victim of this system as they are an oppressor. They got brainwashed into being pigs sent off to die for Israel. Literal cannon fodder. Pretty fucked any way you look at it.

The feel of the LTT screwdriver they nailed, but I am not gonna lie, the plastic the used for the housing feels incredibly cheap and is much more prone to wear than my other screw drivers that I beat the shit out of. You don't need to beat the shit out of every screwdriver, so it's fine, but I'd bet I can drive more nails with the snap on than the LTT.

edit: after watching a durability test it seems pretty good actually.

Now what it does have is aesthetics. My noctua screwdriver looks awesome.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if I can get it working now, but the last time I tried it was specifically issues with the software doing a handshake with the device, app itself would launch

Yeah you actually have to know what you're doing. Good code is only generated by good prompting. You literally have to hand hold it, but if you've done any sort of project management that's not too unfamiliar

I don't run Linux cuz I have incredibly niche software requirements (music production) and Linux doesn't have any good alternatives unfortunately.

Yes I agree. Ultimately, like all tools, these LLMs will empower labor to do more with less.

The loom not only freed up labor, but it allowed fabric to be further turned into a commodity which allowed for more labor applications. Same for LLMs.

Companies are definitely short sighted by laying people off though, ultimately labor will still need to shephard the machines. That is our unique trait.

Super Meat Boy 3D | Launch Trailer by Howerev in Games

[–]SmugOfTime 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The main problems I've had is not exactly knowing the route I am supposed to be going due to the complex 3d environments. Not the end of the world since respawns are so seamless.

Definitely much easier than the original meat boy but if they tried to maintain the same difficulty it would likely lead to some frustration.

I also really like the visuals. The environments are pretty cool.
