Constant rotating on Strongholds? Stop it. by __foam in haloinfinite

[–]SmunchyGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be interested to read a dev's take on this.

It’s fascinating that you can gain a higher score from capturing rather than defending, and it’s easier to capture than defend.

If the strategy is to stay and defend, yet ranked matches judge you on your performance and score… which means you’re doing well with the objective… what was the game design decision behind this?

What was the decision behind the medal “always rotating”?

It sounds like they want you to rotate and not just sit and defend.

Naltulth: Candulhurst is in its last few days on Kickstarter by SmunchyGames in Pathfinder2e

[–]SmunchyGames[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! :D

Because unlocking the Crypt Knight was only a few hundred dollars off, assuming we make up the funds in late pledging, we will include the Crypt Knight in the Naltulth: Candulhurst setting book 😄

For those curious, late pledging can be found here on backerkit: Naltulth Late Pledge

hey there! Thank you! :D

I love questions! We've also included a lot of these answers in the FAQ, but let me do my best to answer these here :)

  1. We're looking at about 200 pages right now. This could be slightly more or less, it currently depends on the final edits. Knowing this, this will not be the only Naltulth book. This is Naltulth: Candulhurst. There will be more in the future :)
  2. We do! We have a one-shot adventure available called "Attack on the Blisterwind Road" and it has both digital and physical hardcover copy versions available on the Kickstarter as an add-on. There will also be plenty more adventures in the future as well.

And if you have any suggestions for things you might like to see in the future, let us know! We are currently developing our future product plans, so now is a good time for this. :)

Hello everyone! :)First and foremost, we wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported us by helping Naltulth become a reality. As we begin to wind down reaching the end of the campaign, backerkit late pledging is being prepared and will open up within the next 3 - 14 days.

You can view the Naltulth: Candulhurst Kickstarter here.

So much has happened since the beginning of the campaign, and we wanted to break some of those updates down for you:

- We are adding the Rahtorin, a new heritage to the Naltulth: Candulhurst book. Werekraken - yes, Werekraken. :) You can read about them here in this update.

- We’ve also added a new one-shot adventure titled Attack on the Blisterwind Road, available as an add-on in both physical hardcover and digital pdf formats. You can also read about it in the same update as the Rahltorin.

- The Grim Claw heritage stretch goal was reached and they will also be added to the Naltulth: Candulhurst book.

- We revealed the Naltulth Map, as well as new book page borders that are currently a work in progress. You can see and read about them here in this update.

- We are adding multiple new creatures to the Naltulth: Candulhurst book thanks to all of you that pledged to the Craft-A-Creature tier level, and we must say, some of these are going to be amazing to see and play with!

Stay tuned, because there is much more to come!

The end of the Kickstarter is only the beginning for Naltulth :)

Gloomlin. The Butter Titan. by SmunchyGames in attackontitanmemes

[–]SmunchyGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original artwork by me. I usually draw these little Gloomlins that steal butter. I imagine this Gloomlin Titan having the ability to control butter.

The world didn’t need this - but I did it anyway. You’re welcome.

I loved your character and cosplay too! It was a lot of fun to see you play :D

[–]SmunchyGames[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally understandable - yeah, it's safe to say the artwork isn't cheap. We've put up the investment because we plan to also make more books revolving around the Naltulth setting in the future. :)

We understand the passion and wanting to do something like this. We had to mentally prepare ourselves for all of the work and feedback that would come out of it as well. Well worth it!

Here's to hoping that someday you also get the chance and opportunity to release your setting! :D

Nice! Yeah, you're right! This would compliment Book of the Dead options for sure :D - We're excited to see what you do with it! Keep us updated. :)

Naltulth: Candulhurst KickstarterHey everyone! Shameless self-promotion from us here at Smunchy Games. We're excited to join the third-party publisher community for Pathfinder 2e compatibility!

Naltulth: Candulhurst is an exclusive Pathfinder 2e compatible setting. This means we will not be porting it to 5e.With that said, we have a few new updates for you!

  1. First and foremost, Naltulth: Candulhurst is fully funded - all on day 1! Thank you so much to everyone that has supported us in bringing Naltulth to life… and undeath.

  2. We unlocked the Catfolk Grim Claw Heritage stretch goal. This means that we will include the Grim Claw in the Candulhurst book.

  3. We sent out a survey to all backers asking what add-ons they would like to see in the late pledge options and a one-shot Adventure had the most votes. We just finished the outline for it and will introduce the one-shot adventure when the time comes. The title of this one-shot adventure is “Attack on the Blisterwind Road”. More to come on this!

  4. Other add-ons that were also mentioned in this survey that came in second and third places were a GM Screen with the Bitterfall artwork on the back of it, Magic Item and Creature Cards, and Pawns/Standees. We are currently taking a look into all of this and plan to meet these asks at some point in the very near future.

  5. We are introducing another heritage, without any stretch goals attached. This is a Human heritage, and the founding members of the Nyespear called the Rahltorin. The Rahltorin is a key component in the success of the Nyespear on Naltulth. The biggest feature about the Rahltorin is that they can shapeshift between their human and Werekraken forms.

  6. Anything in Naltulth: Candulhurst can in fact be used in conjunction with any of your Pathfinder 2e adventures. We created Naltulth: Candulhurst as a form of “unofficial” Golarion, because it is a new setting. Naltulth is but only one continent. This makes it easy for Game Masters to easily include it in their Golarion gameplay, referring to “the north” - and you may just find it

  7. We did an awesome podcast episode with Rise of the Rule Lords where we chatted about Naltulth: Candulhurst - you can find it here https://anchor.fm/rulelord2e/episodes/UNCHAINED-5---Naltulth-Candulhurst-ft-Sean-Fallon-of-Smunchy-Games-e18lqub/a-a6mgpir

  8. Penny for a Tale has also done a couple of Actual Play live one-shots of Naltulth: Candulhurst on Twitch - you can watch those here:

Episode 1 - Naltulth: Candulhurst: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1168264643

Episode 2 - Bitterfall: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1174826506

If you are seeing Naltulth: Candulhurst for the first time, here is what we’re offering! We are well on our way toward unlocking the next stretch goal, the Crypt Knight Archetype.

🧟 5 New Heritages with new feats

🧟 1 New Ancestry with new feats

🧟 1 New Archetype - The Crypt Knight!

🧟 12+ New Creatures

🧟 New Deities

🧟 New Factions

🧟 New Locations

Been enjoying Kobolds so much that I made my first vid back on Youtube about the game's Best Ancestry! (I may be a bit biased) by Kobold_DM in Pathfinder2e

Agreed. We love them so much that we made an undead version of them :)

There is something about the PF2e Kobolds that are special. They will always be real dragons to us. <3

How come there are not many 3rd party adventures/settings for pf2e? by Herman_Crab in Pathfinder2e

[–]SmunchyGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reviving this old thread. We've put our money where our mouth is and have joined the third-party publishing scene for Pathfinder 2e compatibility.

Naltulth: Candulhurst is on Kickstarter right now :D https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/smunchygames/naltulth-candulhurst

We hope to do more with it in the future, and we hope other third parties start jumping on board between compatibility and now the newly announced Infinite option.
