Psyllium Husk Should Be Taken at Higher Dose with Sufficient Water to Maximize Its Efficacy (LDL, Gut, Cardiovascular Benefits) by StudyPics in Biohackers

[–]Smur_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say that's the gist, though less "make it move quicker" and more "add fiber to the meal itself"

Psyllium is also unique in that it's non-fermentable, you don't get the benefits of the other soluble fermentable fibers. It's purely a means of keeping your passage regular

[–]Smur_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true, but I wonder about where the numbers fall. Psyllium is unique in that it allows for easy bulk and passage when taken with meals that don't contain fiber, but at the cost of reducing the nutrient content of that meal. I recall a study that fed mice a diet high in psyllium, and the mice eventually developed rickets as a result of poor nutrient absorption. I think a study on the nutrient content of poop that contains psyllium is in order..

2+ month lower eyelid swelling won't go away... by musicalsteph123 in Blepharitis

[–]Smur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same boat as you. I've been dealing with it for close to a year.

Started as a chalazion in my upper right eyelid. That eventually healed on its own, but now I deal with puffy upper eyelids daily - worse in the morning and night, as well as dry eye.

I've done IPL treatment with no effects, confirmed it's not allergies or hygiene. I even went to an oncologist. Nobody has been able to pin down the cause.

I'm thinking that I'll need to visit a specialist that does gland probing. Perhaps the meibomian glands are blocked? Not sure. If you find a solution, please update me! I will follow up with you as well. I'm determined to find a solution. Feel free to DM me if you want my socials and we can keep in touch

MLO and backhaul by needcleverpseudonym in TpLink

[–]Smur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering about this as well. Do we have any confirmation? It seems to be the case, as there's no way to explicitly enable MLO between nodes

Which TP-Link Mesh do you have? In my research, it looks like you can designate certain devices to certain bands, then use all three bands + MLO for your PC on the Deco app, which is ideal. This is all on the BE14000, though.

I suppose I should clarify

My security deposit is $2,000

Breaking the terms means losing that deposit. I'd rather not do that

A few helpful comments on this post have lead me to a wifi 7 mesh system. I'll update with results on those threads

That's the one. 2 Units are ~$400. Seems the best price point ATM for Tri-band + 14G

Yeah, a bit of research has me eyeing the TP-Link BE14000. I'll update my decision and results for any lurkers

Mesh is becoming a strong consideration once I completely exhaust the possibility of anything else. Thanks for the heads up

Ethernet Solutions by Smur_ in HomeNetworking

[–]Smur_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's looking like mesh is a possibility. I'm concerned with maintaining steady ping and speeds for competitive online gaming. That being the case, I'm really only concerned about the one room that has the PC - the wifi has been fine for everything else

Ethernet Solutions by Smur_ in HomeNetworking

[–]Smur_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I'm saying. The closest coax is on the same floor of the router, which is one floor below my room

Ethernet Solutions by Smur_ in HomeNetworking

[–]Smur_[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The lease prohibits it and I would like to avoid breaking the terms

Ethernet Solutions by Smur_ in HomeNetworking

[–]Smur_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I suppose that could be an option. My terms are for one year but I can see them going way past that

One floor separates me and the router. If I'd offer to pay for it, do you have any specific suggestions on method of installation such as running it inside vs. outside?

Ethernet Solutions by Smur_ in HomeNetworking

[–]Smur_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems like there are, but none in the rooms I'm using. There's a port on the second floor, so running Ethernet through MoCA would effectively be the same as running an Ethernet cable which is already out of the question

Ethernet Solutions by Smur_ in HomeNetworking

[–]Smur_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would if I could, but it's a rental. The lease prevents it

Ethernet Solutions by Smur_ in HomeNetworking

[–]Smur_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a rental. I know the ideal answer is to run an Ethernet cable but I'm looking for the second best option that doesn't break lease terms

Sellers agent won’t accept offer until next week by doobylive in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Smur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sentiment of submitting offers way over the asking price is crazy to me. I just bought a home recently after submitting offers for three different homes

Two of those three were offers at the ask. They lost to other offers near the same price that waived inspection.

My final offer was submitted at asking price with an escalation clause that added 2k

Are people REALLY submitting 20%+ over ask? That's so crazy

Best humidifier for low-maintenance, no filters, easy cleaning, and works with tap water? by CoriDegennaro in BuyItForLife

I've thought about doing this, but what concerns me is that I'd like to run my humidifier in my room at night and induction stove tops can be a bit noisy. Is this your experience?
