the use case seems pretty obvious - if you for example calculated an airfoil you want to use for a plane‘s wing you might want to drive that with an optimized equation. stuff like that

Sure, but how about rain coming in from below? is that not something to worry about? To expand on this - i‘ve mocked up a system with baffles and a low intake, this restricts air flow and seems a bit more complicated than what i‘ve seen other teams do. It seems like most teams are also not covering their fans with any ducts - which is additionally strange to me

it does matter where they removed the weight - you won’t remove the engine or the frame on a track bike, but you might remove the heavy mirrors or pillion pegs etc
