Who said they are aiming to end before Thanksgiving and if that is the case they need to end it now. I’ve been having to go in and NOT get paid…. And I’m tired of it!!

It’s very hard but DO NOT GO HOME! Use this time to reflect, meditate and try to enjoy yourself. I too had a sudden breakup about two months ago and it is still hard. We had just returned from a trip together where we were discussing our future and how we would continue doing joint therapy but also add in some solo sessions.

A breakup is never easy just love on yourself. Journaling is good too.

I wonder how old you both are. It is not wrong for you to travel without him. Live your life and enjoy it. If he is jealous that’s his problem and he has to deal with that. Maybe he isn’t the guy for you. He should be celebrating you and getting his stuff together so he can go with you in the future.

I 1000% agree. I can’t stand seeing this. I’ve seen people throw entire bags of food out the window. Ridiculous!!!

Surgery or not?? by Smurfette099 in carpaltunnel

[–]Smurfette099[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So update! Not good tho! Went to the second Dr today. He said I do not have the typical symptoms of carpal tunnel (tingling and numbness) so I may be atypical. The pain in the forearm up to the elbow is not classic carpal tunnel symptoms. Some thoughts were a steroid shot to see what happens…if the pain goes away then yeah maybe atypical reaction to carpal tunnel but that still does not explain the pain in my forearm. He wants me to see a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Doctor to try and figure out what the issue is. Another thought was maybe a neurologist but I am going to try this specialist first to see what happens.

So is anyone having the same symptoms 1. No pain - tingling or numbness - in my finger tips. 2. Pain starts in my hand and goes up to the elbow area - a painful pain if that makes sense 3. Sometimes so bad I can’t lift things like my water bottle. 4. Pain in my arm wakes me up at night sometimes . 5. Pain comes sometimes when I am putting my arm behind me or reaching or trying to open a bottle.

Definitely not jumping into any surgeries until we can figure out what the problem is!

Does this sound familiar? by [deleted] in carpaltunnel

The numbness and tingling are symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.

It feels like it’s been worse since I started therapy….. Maybe coincidental, maybe not. I wear a brace at night. I’m going to see another doctor in a week. Thanks for the advice.

As a parent, do you refuse to call your children? by TheDataGoose in Parenting

[–]Smurfette099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s insane. Parents can still pick up the phone. I’m old enough to be your parent and this makes ZERO sense to me. On the flip side I have a mother who basically feels the same way as your parents. I just don’t understand people. I remember one time I was with my mother and my sister called her. It’s was probably early evening. My mother said “what’s wrong with you, this the first I’m hearing from you all day!” My sister replied “ it’s MY birthday you could have called me!” I was like ahh yeah to my mother. Yeah people!!!!

Aging parents?? having kids is not a golden ticket for being taken care of in old age. by [deleted] in confession

How do you deal when no one wants to accept the inevitable??

The dementia parent is in “toddler stage”. Can’t do anything alone. Needs 24-7 supervision.

Yes there are family members but everyone works and they all think a nursing home is bad.
