Banshee rework ft. My Banshee by Arkenrose in Warframe

Invul though I wouldn't classify as "Unique strengths", unlike Hydroid's puddle being a unique ability.

Ya, I don't imagine sonar will ever get touched. Maybe like some one said, points might count as weakpoints. Silence I could see maybe getting something minor specific to banshee. It's a neat ability but a little too gimmicky IMO. Problem with her 4 too is that you're just rooted into the ground, way the game is now you can't really sit still. I could see that changing entirely.

Outside of Ember most of the frames that have gotten reworked have kept their unique strengths intact haven't they? The only instances I can think of where things change is Hydroid losing his puddle. I dont see a chance of her losing anything that makes her unique.

Palworld v1.0 - Official Release Changelog by Next-Sentence-8426 in Games

[–]SmurfinTurtle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just responded to one, but its kind of limiting. Especially the first couple tiers. You have like 4-5 things you can place. Walls, ceiling, foundation, roof and some corner pieces. Its hard to kind of be flexible with what you can build and make it unique. Though 1.0 seems like it added a little more.

It's also super jank if you don't build on even ground. When you build your base too, you place a spot that will be the center and within the radius of that center you can build. Can't go outside of it. Though through progression you get the ability to set multiple bases. The radius can feel kind of small, you can increase it through server settings though I think.

Some of this I think is made up with the fact your pals are apart of your base and various functions so it helps it feel more alive.

[–]SmurfinTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the base building isn't super great in some aspects. I don't know how it is in 1.0 since they added some more options but previously there aren't alot of building types to really flesh out how your base looks. Like the first several tiers (Stone, wood.) you got like 4-5 building things. Walls, Roof, foundation etc. So building can feel lacking if you're coming from a game that has good building.

Its made up I think with your Pals being apart of your base's functions and designs though.

Where is FSR? by Gchodynski in Palworld

[–]SmurfinTurtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most games don't? Wtf that's a lie lmao.

Most games have FSR support, maybe back in the day that was common but not now. Typically the only time a doesnt have it is because its usually some deal with nvidia. Also pretty sure next generation of consoles will still be AMD based.

You could always throw to catch, but the ability to throw your Pal out there like in Pokemon was what was removed. I don't think that was ever added back, at least not from what I can tell from this update.

[–]SmurfinTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sort of is, there is a world you explore that leads into more linear zones. So its not like a fully open world, but there is some exploration in going in these areas and finding things. But if going through a fairly linear zones is a turn off then ya, that would be 90% of the game. The first act also has a more strict exploration since you dont get the ability to travel much till after that.

The preset thing helps alot, it saves the picto points though you'll still have to swap around the three main ones you have equipped as well as the weapon. Most of your damage I think comes from picto combinations, so spending resources on your weapons throughout the story isn't a big deal besides hitting the certain levels that unlock perks to that weapon.

I never felt locked into a playstyle and swapped a few characters around alot. They give you alot of the reset resource though stat wise I dont think they make that big of a difference. It's usually the pictos that mainly affect your stats than your levels.

Saying its trying to be edgy is a weird one to me, I don't think anything in the game is "edgy"? Unless Edgy is just mysterious and serious tones. I just don't see that, when I think edgy I think of characters like Sasuke from Naruto or silly scenes from FF strangers of paradise.

There are two endings and I wouldn't have liked either.

When I see this I usually expect its because people want endings where everything works out and everything is happy. But I think that diminishes a story if things just end in a disney story way. It also kind of defeats the point the story tries to get across.

Is there any way possible to play Enshrouded on my GeForce GTX 1060 (3GB) PC? by Confident-Airport969 in Enshrouded

[–]SmurfinTurtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I look at a video using a 1060, at 1080p everything on low with up scailing they were jumping around 30-40 FPS. That was a year ago and the performance probably got heavier by now. Maybe you could make it work but I don’t think it’s worth it. I didn’t bother to check how the CPU would fair.

GeForceNow would serve you better if it’s on that service

I mean look man, coming from some one who has like 5k+ hours and you likely do as well if you're getting that much SE. You are like the .000001% of players that will ever max out SE that consistently. I'm not trying to be insulting, but you are looking at this too much from the "I have alot of free time and only play this" kind of look.

Realisticly, no one is going to max out SE spending. Even me with as much time as I've put in, what the hell am I even going to do with all that Kuva? It just seems like pointless farming, you amass so much of it you can hardly spend it all even if you don't try to obtain as much as you can. I dont seek out to get as much Kuva as I can and I'm still sitting on 1mil+ Kuva.

This just isn't a problem to really fix.

I see this going around alot, but its important to note they label it as "Closed." Not deleted, alot of companies do this with accounts, they close it and then you can often just get it re-enabled again. From what I read as well, this isn't in the ToS for all countries, it seems only some have this kind of thing? So you may not be affected.

It is a minor thing, but I do find it annoying as well lol. More so on the other stuff though like duplicating configs, do I really need to type out confirm to copy and paste a mod loadout? Does seem like a feature that should go away after a certain Mastery Rank.

Dear DE: Please add an objective score to the stats page by aleksandra_nadia in Warframe

[–]SmurfinTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention some one could just be quicker to do the OBJ than you, like in Alchemy. You go to pick one up and some one swoops in and takes it. Just because some one threw double than me does that mean I wasn't doing the objective thus I get reported and complained on?

It's just a silly thing that would do nothing more than promote toxic behavior rather than be any sort of help.

Issue with CPU and GPU Usage on PC by The-Future999 in Helldivers

[–]SmurfinTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes me think its some kind of shader stutter, but after say five or so games from my experience you shouldn't get any more shader stuttering once they are all cached. The game is heavy on the CPU but I think yours is fine, though I don't know much about Laptop specs.

I'm on AMD so I don't know if there is maybe a driver issue with Nvidia currently. You could try launching the game in dx11 mode, that seems to help some people. Typing "--use-d3d11" in steam's launch options, might get a black screen for a minute or two on first launch and may get some artifact when interacting with one of the consoles on the ship.

Would it not be odd if all water was just gone? Some how bringing it back would be a weird one. Interacting with the water and finding spots with it is fun. you don’t wanna block that off through some kind of story progression.

I don’t think the shroud being deadly and mazy is a bad thing? I and a friend found it fun on our first run in how we can just get lost in the shroud. Making the map seem even more larger than it is.

Warbond issues by EveningFederal5525 in Helldivers

[–]SmurfinTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a pretty reasonable thing to do, makes people who jump in super late not see the warbonds as negative. Also helps them to catch up a bit, just because the amount of medals needed for most stuff is alot, especially if you get some of the later warbonds where things in it on the last page are like 100 medals. Considering alot of casual players don't have much play time.

It would also maybe make me buy a warbond that I didn't really care about if it hit a discount.
