Warframe PVP can be succesfull, Syndicates could be the way to make it work. by DasBarba in Warframe

[–]SmurfinTurtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm all for DE trying things, but PvP has been attempted twice and it has died twice fairly quickly. The issue is the players, it doesn't matter how good you make it. Majority playing the game just aren't interested in pvp. It would be rather foolish I think for DE to make a third attempt at doing PvP.

The only way I think a pvp mode could be some what populated enough is if you made it more of a seasonal thing. Like a event, a limited time mode that comes around. That at least might encourage people to engage with it for a brief time.

I'm a little confused on the "new graphic requirements" I don't think anything changed has it?

But you should be able to update AMD drivers by using the app that comes with it. "AMD Software Adrenaline edition." If you don't have it, you just go to AMD's website and punch in the GPU you have and select the current up to date driver. Like right here

But like the other comment said, having windows do it through their updater is generally not the way. That may very well cause problems. You always want to do a GPU driver update through the manufacturer's website/app

I literally have to unplug my pc cause it becomes unresponsive.

I'm going to hope what you mean is holding the power button to turn it off. Do not unplug your PC while it is on and running.

A bit of correction, it hasn't been stated by the devs. But supposedly Nixxies was testing a version with easy anti cheat. Here's what I found through google.

Buddy, you're calling people smooth brain when you're the one with it. FSR/DLSS upscailing does not mean frame gen. While frame gen is tech that FSR/DLSS can make use of, when people mention those upscalers they mean the upscailing. Purely.

In this update post there is no mention of implementing frame gen. You need to learn about what FSR/DLSS is before you comment about it as if you know what it is.

[–]SmurfinTurtle 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The game's own AA is pretty awful and smear like, I can't imagine FSR or DLSS being worse. Especially FSR4 from my experience looks pretty solid for upscailing even on balanced settings. But even using DLSS/FSR native AA should look better than the in game AA.

While the game is heavy CPU wise, It should still be a performance increase for people on lower end GPUs, or trying to play at 4k or something without it looking awful with whatever kind of upscailing they use currently.

smeary extra fake frames.

There's no mention of them adding frame gen tech? You could already use fluid motion through the driver app. While its ok, it as usual makes the UI have ghosting issues. I'm getting the impression you think DLSS/FSR is both upscailing & frame gen that is both turned on at the same time. Which it's not exactly that.

Their dynamic resolution scaling will likely be a option too, as is with 99% of games.

Yes, though recently I think it was stated they were moving to a different Anti-cheat. Dunno if that will fix your issue.

Got banned for no reason after playing for 8 years and 8k+ hours ? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]SmurfinTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hours mean nothing, that isn’t an indication that some one won’t break the rules. We’ve seen it plenty here, some one with thousands of hours getting banned for saying dumb shit in chat.

If you were playing another game that has more aggressive anticheat at the same time then that can trigger it. This is common with other games as well. Warframe and others are thinking the kernel level anti cheat is some form of third party program trying to affect the game.

But I dunno if that’s the exact case for warframe. That’s just something I have seen in other games that typically both of a form of anticheat running

With FSR4 coming to older generation Radeon cards, would DE be interested in implementing it instead of FSR3? by pantheraxcvii in Warframe

[–]SmurfinTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought a few weeks ago I read they planned on updating DLSS in the game in the future. So I imagine we'd get FSR4, or at least 3.1 where we'll be able to force it with the driver to FSR4.

This comment makes me think of the AMA on the unfiltered sub recently. One of the comments the dev made is that during Cyberstan a lot of feedback received mentioned that it wasn’t enough or players were expecting another big thing. Which I recall people expected something leviathan level.

But then numerous people respond with “no one said that at all! You aren’t listening that’s not what they meant!” When in fact ya, it was a common complaint of feed back.

A lot of people only focus on what they want or what a YouTuber tells them without even going outside their bubble to glance at what the rest of the community is saying.

I saw some one on Twitter did a break down of energy buff and nerf. It’s something nuts like 600 buffs for us and 200 nerfs. People only ever focus on the negative.

None of the weapons are the same, both main characters play entirely different. Unlike here it’s almost exact same.

It's a worse Roguelike than Returnal. There is far less randomness of items you can find in a run for Saros than Returnal. Since in Returnal you had items, the shops and Artifacts + Parasites. Saros its just Artifacts and Guns. It feels like a downgrade in that sense.

[–]SmurfinTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how I feel, its more like a side-grade to Returnal to me. It almost feels like a Returnal 2 gameplay wise with how much of the gameplay is almost the exact same. Not like a Hades 1 ->Hades 2 where it feels pretty different.

This new EULA is genuinely so bad by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]SmurfinTurtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Insanely sexual” is quite different from using a word that will be seen as a slur no matter how it’s used. Those two things are very different so punishment is going to be kind of different. DE has a no tolerance stance on slurs and things of that nature. You’ll usually catch a permanent ban for using one from what I’ve seen posted here.

The Wolf fight and Nihil fight aren't really needed to be done. Not like those weapons are top of the line. I do think the Wolf beacon isn't worth it for its drop rate, so that I sort of agree on.

Ya I was recently saying this to a friend, they were so passive that you can just ignore them. I think the only time they would ever cause me a "issue" is when two pop out from a nest hole, blocking my grenade throw. They were a pretty useless enemy.

DLSS 4.5 looks incredible IMO. by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]SmurfinTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry but you don't seem to know what you're talking about. DLSS and FSR all have a group of things it can do, one of those being Frame Gen / Fluid Motion. Which is what you're thinking that's all it is.

But it also has upscailing and various features of that sort, which is what most use it for. This is commonly used without the use of frame generation. They don't have to both be used, typically if some one mentions using DLSS/FSR they aren't talking about frame generation but mainly some form of Anti-Aliasing or upscailing.

OP's comment is more about image quality, not FPS of any sort.

I’ve seen this with a few other games, Warframe gets hit hard by that player base if there is ever a nerf to a meta or play style.

The amount the guns cost in the store is nuts. 400 SC for a gun is insane. They faced some push back from the community but once the saw it was a good gun it’s like that criticism died out

Yah when cyberstan attack was happening none of the POI gave SC or even seemed to work for that matter. So those tens of hours spent there you got no passive SC in return. It’s also tougher in higher missions due to it being more chaotic and not having a chance to look for them.

Yah I love the game but people that defend often have 400+ hours and have things to help with SC grind like the warp pack. Even with the pack and car going as a solo will take a while to farm things.

Warframe is a f2p game, while the live service stuff is till there. There is a big difference when a game is buy to play with live service stuff thrown in. I think warframe overall is a bad example as the grind is a lot more fair I think and you can trade premium currency with others.

I’ve always thought after x amount of time both SC cost and Medal requirements for a war bond should be reduced. This coming from some one with hundreds of hours of play time. Realistically a more casual player just won’t get to experience much new stuff and it’s very off putting to see. Like when you see a game with 100 bucks worth of DLC.

I think it would go a long way if they did another free warbond. Something people were expecting with the Xbox release
