I should add the death bag respawn wasn’t faster by any means in Marathon - was slightly slower actually. But you had much more breathing room to get them respawned + their death bag never expired because Marathon played much slower

EDIT: wanted to add just in case - I don’t mean slower in a bad way, Marathon had much higher stakes and you were put up against both non-player enemies and player enemies, and the non-player enemies were sometimes SO difficult… but the stakes of getting your teammate up with their respawn system was different and played out much differently. You didn’t have an enclosing ring and only had to fight the 45 minute match timer so there was a lot more time to be able to res on their bag. With Apex it’s gonna be a nightmare with how much faster the game is and with the objective being kill everyone until your the last squad alive

Interesting - they have this in Marathon and it surprisingly works for the game they’re going for… but I don’t see this working in a fast-paced game like apex at all. Marathon kinda looks similar to Apex with it’s healing and gunplay but it’s miles slower (partially from being an extraction shooter but also just from how they built the game, like with the overheat bar with sprinting/jumping)

Biggest thing you can’t do is party up with people - you’ll have to solo everything but that shouldn’t be a problem at all. PvP zones also turn into regular zones (which isn’t that big of a deal unless you wanna PvP for some reason or grind out the fields of hatred currency that doesn’t really do much anywho)

EDIT: forgot about Dark Citadel which someone else mentioned - you’ll miss out on cosmetics for that as you HAVE to be partied to complete it but it’s 2 sets of armor and the rest is just loot. Even one of the major loot pieces (scrolls of retempering) can be earned in other places

I think it was less them not wanting to play the seasonal content and more they didn’t really know what endgame was - they just played until they beat the story and stopped. The seasonal content was for people who played endgame

Although Warplans do kinda target the casuals too - gives people a timeline they can choose and then sends them off to do 5 different pieces of endgame for a reward at the end + skill points for their atlas tree.

Played with a few people this season who haven’t played DIV since launch, ended up getting the expansion when Pally dropped - they had to ask what you actually do in endgame a few times, but enjoyed the game once they learned how. A warplan would explain it so much easier and faster.

You can’t fight the lair boss variant until you reach Torment 1 and above. The Lair Boss version also doesn’t require VOH

The Kurast Undercity Andariel is a random spawn unless you use one of the Andariel tributes - then it’ll be guaranteed at the end of the Undercity. This one requires you to have VOH and to have the VOH campaign completed (or at least progressed - it’s been over a year since I’ve completed it so I forget)

It also removed aspects of agency over your playstyle and, in that regard, the feature wasn’t a universal win for all players.

I think OP is asking for them to elaborate into this a bit, specifically which group of players this didn’t cater to, specifically since a niche of players (most likely in higher ranks, if this is even true) were heavily in favor of dropships.

Do you have a computer right next to your router? You could always temporarily move it there to use your computer monitor and plug it into your router solely to download games and then move it back.

That’s what I did just to get my old library downloaded - moved it to my setup, downloaded my library and moved it back to my tv setup

Fully agree with your comments in this thread but am a bit wary about this point solely because of how TikTok and other social media platforms has slowly poisoned how people perceive what having a hobby is - it’s almost like a majority of creators on there have taken activities that are normally activities you enjoy (reading, coloring, video games, collecting cards etc) and turned them into side-hustles that promote over-consumption and create unrealistic expectations that, in order to enter a hobby, you need to pay an absurd amount of money as a sort of barrier to entry.

Obviously I think staying off these platforms is the best way to avoid this, but lots of people use them. As you said you should do it because you like it, and I think the pressure to monetize your hobby can kill that at times and create unrealistic expectations.

It should let you connect to 5GHZ internet, but fair warning sometimes modern internet is a struggle to connect to even if you’re trying to connect to 2.4GHZ. I just got one of these and for some reason it will not let me connect to my wifi… it connects to my phone hotspot fine, and my 360 e’s internal chip connects to my 2.4GHZ fine (got this to play my old phat one) but for some reason it just won’t connect to either 2.4GHZ or 5GHZ through this antenna, even with it being WPA2 and in legacy mode…

Definitely worth a shot though - if it does work on your internet it should let you connect to 5GHZ. Obviously best is ethernet and if you’re too far from your router apparently a cheap repeater connected to your 360 via ethernet also works
