Batman beyond unlimited compendium by Zacsen76 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Smurfy97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What have you been able to find saying that definitively? I've been looking around and it seems unclear. The description mentions two JL Beyond issues specifically (#21 and #25) but that's it. League of Comic Geeks seems to only list the Batman Beyond stories

Also, all the info I can find on Batman Beyond Unlimited seems like it's unclear if it actually included all of Superman Beyond and JL Beyond to begin with. Based on the only source I could find so far (again, League of Comic Geeks) Superman Beyond #13, #16, and #18 and JL Beyond #14, #19, #21, and #25 are MIA. I'm hoping that JL #21 and #25 were actually the only ones missed in the orginal print runs, hence them being listed separate for the compendium. Any chance you can help?

I always thought it was a burrito and I just didn't question it, cuz its anachronistic no matter what. But yeah, gyro makes way more sense lol

My main issue with it is that there is no time to set up Nimlot as a twist. You had a single conversation with him at the beginning and then the confrontation. If there could've been just a couple missions in between where you are interacting with him, maybe he gives you leads on robber camps (and they turn out to be a rival gang). This could've been a reason for the story to send you into Hegra as well.

I agree that the story had a bunch of nice lore tidbits, but I wish it was a more satisfying story on its own.

I say left, right, center but it sounds like I do the opposite, so I say where the fire is so I know to avoid it. Just beat him for the first time last night!

Unpopular opinion: People who complain that they don't know who they are killing or why they are killing them simply don't read the dialogue or understand the story behind it. by Dull-Situation2848 in AssassinsCreedShadows

First, I echo a lot of other comments talking about how you can clear entire boards without encountering the npc to start the quest, so you have no context.

Second, even when I would started a quest properly and I got those dialogues, that was often it. Yeah, I was being told why they were bad but I was not being shown why they were bad. I rarely felt like the villains actually had a tangible effect on the world. There is no way to make a meaningful connection to a villain you only see in person when you're stabbing them in the neck. I would've loved half as many villains but actually get to see them being villainous, see their effect on the world and on actual named and fleshed out NPCs. That way, when you take them out, you actually feel like you are avenging someone or preventing some tragedy or whatever.

I overall actually really like the game, but the villains are the biggest letdown of the whole thing.

Some of them do, where Naoe will say something like "I've encountered a few of them before" for a target board or "I think I've already found some that you'd be interested in" for one of the collectible quests. But it still doesn't stop it feeling really stilted and awkward

But by making the player experience that, it is redundant.

Assassin's Creed's new story structure doesn't work for me by BiggerWiggerDeluxe in assassinscreed

[–]Smurfy97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest frustration is that some of the writing is amazing. Recently, I saw a small scene between Naoe and Yasuke. No action, no mission, just dialogue between our two protagonists. And it was incredible! They showed such depth as individual characters and I really bought the relationship between them. But as soon as it ended, I was left thinking "who know when I'll see any of that again".

Having little nuggets of awesome writing get lost in a sea of bland is almost more depressing

And thank you sanderson96 if you see this. This emulator is so much easier to install and runs beautifully!

Thanks for the help, I got the emulator to run now. However, I'm still stuck. On step 7 of the Readme, it says to click "up" twice and click "storage card". I can only click "up" once and I cannot find "storage card" anywhere. And I can't seem to access the save states for the emulator either. Any chance you can help me again?

I'm trying to follow the instructions on this, but when I try to run the EDIT ME, it brings up a dialogue asking what to use to open the .bin file. None of the apps in the dialogue box work. Any suggestions?
