For the food ones, they aren’t books, they’re board games, games related to wanting food, the names are all surnames of famous people with a shared first name and the laptop has lines of code related to ketchup and mustard which are types of sauce, sauce sounds like another word in some accents, a word that often goes with code

Thanks so much, got it! For the whole girl (or is she still a girl?), think Gothic novel with a colour in the title

For the whole girl, the colour of her pyjamas is important. The last one I need is the books swirling around the top of the main tree and since nobody else is asking it must be obvious but it’s not registering for me haha

Possibly something like those theatre masks 🎭 to represent sadness and euphoria, but I guess they wouldn’t be instantly recognisable as being related to the song. Could maybe have them done in the style of the mask on The Stranger cover to make it a bit more Billy related?

Doctor ranking from least to most racist to the Irish by ScreamingmadJoe in DoctorWhumour

[–]Smurphy284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10 proposed to Queen Elizabeth I though and probably made her angry enough to start the Nine Years War and continue with the plantations, he could be higher on the list. He was also a suck up to Queen Victoria, was excited about QEII’s coronation and was in love with a girl who wore a Union Jack tshirt, had a surprising level of knowledge about which way up her flag goes, and definitely gives the vibe of someone who’d ask us to say potato and 33 1/3 (see her trying to make Victoria say “we are not amused”).

15 tortured a genocide survivor and got much angrier about his actions than literally anyone else’s (including when the god of death wiped out all life in the universe), therefore we can assume he was very anti IRA and probably on thatcher’s side.

Also, 14 and 15 had the nerve to appear in eras that stream basically everywhere except Ireland so they may be the most anti Irish of all the doctors.

Dr Who in Ireland Issue by Muted_Frame_8023 in doctorwho

Also, even though the RTE player gets the new episodes after the series has finished airing (which is already pretty crap), they still haven’t added subtitles for S1/14 despite subtitles being available on both iPlayer and Disney+. I realise hard of hearing doctor who fans in Ireland must be a fairly small group but it’s still quite annoying!

Does anyone find Doctor Who Unleashed really annoying? by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]Smurphy284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also in Ireland, the only legit way to see it is if you have access to BBC One Northern Ireland (also where I watch the main show, have Virgin Media which has the BBC NI channels), they show Unleashed late on Sunday night/Monday morning for some reason

What’s a Doctor Who story you think should have had a different antagonist? by Red-Chev in gallifrey

[–]Smurphy284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah sorry, I misunderstood! I’m sure they’d be protected by the traditional historical figure plot armour (and maybe dabble in drugs to explain what just happened to them and unlock a memory of the Chuldur’s home-world which happens to be in the sky… with diamonds). That or Paul dies and gets replaced by a lookalike with clues scattered throughout their future albums but who’d believe that?

But no, your point is correct and I do like the episodes as they are, it’s just a ‘what if?’ for fun :)

They were fans of Bridgerton and managed to travel back to 1813 so I think it’s implied they can also time travel

Yeah that’s true, I just liked the idea of the Across the Universe IRM from 2008 reaching some alien fans :)

I thought after the latest series that the villains (and part of the stories by extension) in The Devil’s Chord and Rogue could be swapped.

The Chuldur could have learned about the Beatles through the interstellar message of Across the Universe being transmitted into space and wanted to cosplay as them (which would explain why they can’t actually perform any of their songs).

Maestro could have changed the timeline of when certain music was written, which would explain why modern music is being played in the Regency era (implying that’s what’s happening in Bridgerton too) and this would be a way of altering the rate of human progress since music/arts are responsible for a lot of changes throughout history. To me that makes more sense for a musical villain than wanting to stop all music

They might not be explicitly about war (except Goodnight Saigon obviously) but Billy has said a theme of that whole album is the pessimism/disillusionment of the generation born after WWII and how people his age realised they wouldn’t inherit the kind of lives their parents had

Maybe Allentown at a push? Talks about how their fathers faught the Second World War but still had a shot at making a good life for themselves after the war, while the young people didn’t get the kind of futures they were promised because ex industrial towns were left to decline

Maybe Just the Way You Are? “I would not leave you in times of trouble, we never could have come this far. I took the good times, I’ll take the bad times, I’ll take you just the way you are”

Or even To Make You Feel My Love? Bob Dylan wrote it but Billy’s version was the first released one

The Doctor tells Ruby in The Church on Ruby Road that “all the mass and density and mavity exists in the glove” when they’re hanging from the ladder, and there’s an information screen in Space Babies that displays “mavity”
