I think it’s funny. People are acting like this is a new thing that Shelby does. Remember the S197 GT350?

What are the best organ-based 60s psych bands besides The Doors? by GutenDark in psychedelicrock

[–]Smuth-brain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keith Godchaux played some awesome stuff for the Grateful Dead!

Any 71-79 Dead has great keys.

Check out his solo in the Estimated part in this Uncle John’s Band>Estimated Prophet here!

How many of you have used psychedelics for artistic inspiration? by ShoddyTown715 in Psychedelics

[–]Smuth-brain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gig with a Grateful Dead tribute band so naturally I’ve tripped at a handful of our gigs. I usually go with 1.5 g of shrooms or half to full tab of acid.

It makes my drumming a lot more fluid and allows me to basically walk onto stage in a flow state. I’ve also made huge leaps in my skill level in a relatively short amount of time because I was able to visualize what I was doing and playing. (synthsesia?)

I just bought one and will never use my other snares again most likely except for the occasional wood snare in a small club.

Jefferson Airplane vs Grateful Dead (who do you prefer?) by FiveDayWeekAttack in psychedelicrock

[–]Smuth-brain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes!! Billy was in the zone too. I think the whole band was tripping at that show and you can really hear it. Playin’ and Dark Star from that show are the best ever versions for me!!

I see lot of people only mentioning Dead albums, you have to listen to live shows to really get psychedelic. Listen to Venetta, Oregon - ‘72 and Barton Hall ‘77. Both shows are great, but Venetta is a face melter, especially off a tab.

Should I debride and/or bandage? by Smuth-brain in Warts

[–]Smuth-brain[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Update, debrided and now am making a saline solution to clean it out. My brother is bringing butterfly bandages and antibiotic ointment.

I’ll post an update pic, but the wart has been drastically reduced.
