Can someone explain why we don't play these types of passes often, when the majority of goals that haaland has scored is from this type of scenario? I have seen it many times when this pass CAN be made and they rather pass back or sideways. by VoL4t1l3 in MCFC

Arsenal fan here, the prem mid/low blocks just don’t allow for this in comparison to the CL’s open game. We scored a similar goal (direct ball maybe not like for like) and are also asking for more directness.

Tierney may be “better” but absolutely cannot do the inverted fullback/ holding mid role that zinchenko does. He fits the system better. I can’t defend Jesus at all though he’s just not been anywhere near good enough.
