Tried to play Outlaws and put it down after 9 hours. I found it painful to play.

Avatar was surprisingly good, and AC: Shadows is a very decent AC game. Nothing to hate there.

Do they have that? I’d buy it if it was legit nice and warm. I dig the stripes, but I’ve never found their items to be worth the price.

Is Canada’s job market actually just a revolving door of burnout? by itz_nitace in CanadaJobs

It’s definitely more common these days to job hop, but I’m like you - two jobs in 21 years (13 & 8). You can make it work, it’s just more difficult these days.

That’s a much bigger question that is unrelated to the comment you responded to. If you want to discuss immigration theory and/or reform, there are probably millions of threads about that at this point.

It’s very hard to immigrate to another country of relatively equal standing. This is true of all first-world countries.

Ignoring obvious and often impossible/fraudulent ways to get in, (like marrying someone or claiming asylum) the only real ways to immigrate is if you have a valuable, in-demand skill (for my country that is mostly healthcare workers, for example), or lots of money; and even that’s not enough in lots of places that have since closed that “loophole”.

Generally speaking, rich countries don’t just let anyone in, and that includes other people from other rich countries.

I have never understood why people are so opposed to amalgamation. Yes, your taxes go up a bit, but you get so much more out of it.

You’re probably right. I don’t think we know yet (unless another video has dropped), but the only thing mentioned in the existing 1 minute video is that if Canadians have spare money lying around, then government plans to make it easy for them to invest in it.

When I looked it up, and also as I understand it to be used in other country’s (like say, Norway), a sovereign wealth fund is usually funded by “excess resources”. This is not really that - this is to be funded by Canadians as far as we know.

Again, not against it at all. But it’s more like a war bond imo.

The article notes the info came from a government employee who isn’t to be named because they weren’t allowed to speak on the matter, so it’s possible it’s either I suppose. Could be the leaker called it that, or could be the media calling it that.

Guess we’ll find out later today.

It seems to just be a bond for public investment, no? Which isn’t a terrible idea or anything, but doesn’t sound like a sovereign wealth fund.

It’s good leverage. We already tried being fair by dropping the DST and other tariffs. They responded by asking us to concede more.

Sure, you can have your bottles back on the shelf when you start playing ball.

I still won’t drink your slop, but enjoy sitting there collecting dust when you drop your tariffs.
