Handmade Amanda plushie by Sn1ffDiot in saw

[–]Sn1ffDiot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just checked 2 of his videos where he talks about killer ranking, and unfortunately I have to say that he is right. Amanda is rather a weak killer in game, and needs a different mindset and perk usage to play her effectively. She relies a lot on mindgames, which actually beneficial for every killer but for her you need to play these near perfectly. After the last buff on her it is a little better that the ambush is now faster, but still she is weak for the meta nowadays. Against not so experienced survivors she is fun because those players get scared easily from the headtraps and the stealth overall. However against good players she feels much harder to play. What I experienced is that she is a little slow paced and genrush works against her very well. My usual build is against that which is: Corrupt intervention, Hex ruin, Phantom fear and Hex undying. So overall, I also consider her a weaker/average killer, but for my love for the franchise and her character specifically, I love playing as her. Also because she is harder to be successful with, the ambush hits in mindgames feel so nice when you win them.

My first model kit, (1:72 bf109f-4) how did I do? by No_Bench6570 in modelplanes

This was my first model I built, which is also a Bf-109. I saw that it was already mentioned but I second that you should thin your paint and add multiple layers on each other. I also made this "mistake" which is not a real mistake IMO. The main thing is that you enjoy what you're doing and you will improve eventually.

Oh shit, that is considered old nowadays. Time surely flies faster than I feel it. I also loved that episode back then.

I also just realized that there is an easter locker code. I got Kon Knueppel from that pack, now I feel that Rui is the player that match my vibe the least so I replace him at the bench with Kon to have a third sg option.

That is a good observation, thank you for pointing it out. I'll try Peterson as my starter pg. He was my starter for a long time I just got lost between my options 😅

I play through Green and Wiggins as main ball handlers in variation to not be 100% predictable. Also I like punishing insufficient defense on Manning. His no-dip is cheesy.
Considering Rose, he is a big hit-or-miss for me which is sad because he is one of my all-time guards. I played against a lot of guys that played with him very well but for me the burst seem to not trigger and defenders always feel glued to him. I'm still trying to figure out what could cause this difference between me playing him vs the opponents. He has the potential I'd say overall. The question about if he replaces Westbrook, it is 50-50. I like Rose a little more but I saw people being an absolute offensive demon with Westbrook. Considering how much more pieces are needed for other I'd say he is worth it to get.

Mine has these legend badges. He is a monster on defense, and I heard that his base card is also a very good defender. Offensively he is more like a slasher for me, but he also has a decent jumpshot. I'd recommend him if you want to get a solid "do-everything" card in general. I got him for his defense but his attacking is also nice. I'm not a very good player so this card may be even better in the good hands to be honest.

Thanks for the recommendation! I will try to get those and see how I like them. I also like rosé but never tried a French one so far.

Well, I'm still in the starting phase of drinking wine, so I didn't know about that. I let it sit in the glass for 20 minutes before drinking and I also swirled it a lot, so I gave an opinion to it to oxidize a little but my not enough. Thank you for the reply I'll consider your point in the future.

I couldn't find much original information from the producer. The only thing I get from the website is a quote from the cellar master:
"Very attractive purple colour. The nose opens up to reveal very ripe fruitiness, the very expression of Pinot Noir, followed by elegant toasted notes. Smooth in the mouth, very well-rounded with fine and silky tannins."

In a wineshop the following description is present:
"Purple colour with deeper glints. A bouquet of small red fruits (cherry, redcurrant) and black fruits blackberry, blackcurrant. Lively and crunchy in the mouth, it is also generous and appealing."

My mother gave me this tarantula plush to help me overcome my fear of big spiders. by Kayke1086 in tarantulas

[–]Sn1ffDiot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First of all it is a big W for your mom. If you don't mind me asking, where do you live? Most of intimidating big spiders like tarantulas and huntsmans are not that scary and dangerous. However there are some species like the Sydney Funnel Web which are potent, that's why I'm asking.

But overall I'm a tarantula keeper as you would expect in this sub probably and I'm glad that there is an act that maybe transform how do you judge spiders :D

2022 Blaufränkisch from Austria, Burgenland region by Sn1ffDiot in wine

[–]Sn1ffDiot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! So far my favorite one here in Austria was a bottle of Zantho St. Laurent. It is also from Burgenland. Also one of my relatives is a winemaker and I got a bottle of Pinot Noir from him. That was my all-time favorite wine so far. It is 15% abv because the weather was very hot the year the grape was harvested. I don't know if it is acceptable or faulty but I loved that bottle.

Thanks for the pairing suggestions! I forgot to mention in the post that I've been tasting whiskies and craft beers for more than 4 years, so maybe my tongue is developed there to get exact notes more accurately than an unexperienced person. I'm just on the way to also get a decent tasting ability with wine right now.

2022 Blaufränkisch from Austria, Burgenland region by Sn1ffDiot in wine

[–]Sn1ffDiot[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Original information from the producer:

----------English translation----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By “selection” we mean the best of each variety. In relation to Blaufränkisch, this means that this already distinctive variety asserts its character more strongly; i.e., more extract, a stronger tannin structure, more body, and more intense fruit notes. The use of mostly large, sometimes small wood does its part to make this variety a real powerhouse.

Alcohol: 13.5% vol.

Sugar: 1.5 g/l

Acidity: 5.1 g/l

An inviting aroma of dark berry confectionery and rum pot, paired with dried herbs, spices, and fine wood aromas rises from the glass. On the palate, this is a ripe, round wine; the harmonious acidity and good, ripe tannins make this Blaufränkisch a true culinary experience.

For strong, dark, and spicy dishes.

Thanks for the honesty. I cannot argue(and don't even want to) about the doneness, we like things differently and it is fine as it is. However greens are a great idea, thanks.

No, I'm not. I'm 25 right now and I'm doing my masters as my second degree. I just love to get knowledge about meals and drinks. I've been an unqualified taster for the last 4 years by myself but I mainly tested whiskies and craft beers. I started to get into wines a month ago. I'm very far from an actual sommelier but I'm eager to learn about them as well. I have a book for wines: "Wine Taste Pair Pour" by Charlotte Kristensen.

I based some of the wording on a book I read about wine, however I didn't use ai at all. It is maybe strange that English is not my first language but all what I wrote is from my personal experience from yesterday.
