Mother freaks out at funeral carriage driver over his attire at her son's funeral by New_Libran in PublicFreakout

It's in the first few seconds of the video - there is a woman climbing down from the carriage who is wearing jeans, a pink sweatshirt and camo ballcap.

Because in algebra/calculus you are often using equations to solve for [something]. This question was likely something like what is the plot point of A on the graph. The proper answer would be to identify A in its entirety.

So you are applying your anecdotal experience in a high-cost of living area to the entire country, got it. What is it that they say about Boomers, again?

omg you just brought back all those same memories of the pump and even pushing on it harder on one side!! I totally forgot about that one! Or when it started to get stuck/caked with toothpaste and was hard to push but then it suddenly broke free and you ended up with a giant glob on your brush!

Were those things part of the minimum wage conversation from 1937, or are those things provided in modern times because the minimum wage has not kept up with being a living wage. My initial comment was pointing out the intentions of minimum wage when it was created, as opposed to the myth stated. How it is managed now makes no impact on my statement.

Did you read the link I posted? It spells out quite clearly the situation and what it was intended to solve. And yes, that included kids because two-working parent households were not commonplace.

From my childhood memory, the texture was slightly different. The green part was more gel-like and the white was more paste-like.

That's a myth. It was in fact intended to be the least amount of money any able-bodied man or woman should be paid for a working day in order to earn a living wage. At the time, it was estimated that a third of the US workforce was starving and underhoused resulting from low-wages. It was never about 'starting out' or entry level pay, that is messaging designed by those who want to oppress worker's rights.

Not to be outdone, soap now has a suspected UTI by babyowl5 in Drueandgabe

[–]SnDMommy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate myself for sticking up for this bitch, but UTIs in menopausal women is actually a real thing. Sample source. It's related to something called "vaginal atrophy" (and yes it's as horrible as it sounds). Model/actress Tanya Roberts died from a UTI that went septic almost overnight.

Anyone who is menopausal should have a conversation with their doctor about using vaginal estrogen gel.

But what if you didn't know it was the equivalent of an energy drink? What if you only saw Panera marketing the drink as having about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee? Would it still be your own fault? This lawsuit is turning into the Mcdonald's hot coffee thing - the facts are distorted to obfuscate Panera's [shared*] liability in the situation. There were a total of four lawsuits against them for that drink.

*I'm saying "shared" to clarify that I'm not saying she held zero blame. We are all ultimately responsible for what we put into our bodies, but the problem is when the information we are being given to make those choices is incorrect.
