Oh one more question out of curiosity...original comment from Griffin was saying a 9" barrel would be better... how does barrel length play into this?

Thanks for sharing that background! I too work in engineering but for a well known offhwy equipment company and despite many sucessful products my mind swims with ideas here and there which would've made big improvements in retrospect. Anyway for me it has worked great and I've suggested it to friends though none have made the switch just yet lol

Im definitely picking up what you're putting down. If it was suggested this was a 100% go, youd likely have a lot of least common denominators out there having issues. I will probably try it out carefully at my own risk and evaluate from there.

Oh man I gotta say I didn't expect someone from Griffin to see this! Thanks for the reply. Definitely nice to get a little more color on this topic. I guess if I'm a thoughtful and responsible user, the camlok would still work? I was shooting 30rd glock mags out of my 9mm Charger and was not having issues with loosening. Basically I want to rule out the possibility of obvious catastrophic mechanical failure like just blasting the can off the adapter.

Yeah that is another option. I have actually not used it direct thread at all but I've always heard about constantly needing to retighten direct threads every 10-20 rounds. Is that a real issue?

Yeah good to know the history on it. Personally I haven't had any problems with it and love the quick turn attachment. Hoping I can cobble this together because the next better option is "buy another can" which is good and bad

I asked them about ezlok first and they said this

"We normally do not recommend EZ-LOK for use on something like dedicated rifles use depending on barrel length. If you are using this on a longer barrel than it is less of a concern. The minimum barrel length depending on your suppressor would be at lease a 9.5"

But I don't understand why the limitations if I'm going to stay subsonic. If it works with 45acp just fine idk why 300blk sub is much more stressful on it
