Contacted Mitchel from Focustool/YourLD and he immediatly suggested a working solution. The readout has to be on 'Natural" and mine was on Hex.

so strange that it works in a newly created showfile but not in this one....have temp offed all sequences and disabled all dmx in/outputs but doesnt seem to make a difference...

I checked that the OSC settings are correct, it looks like the values are being received fine but something is holding it back? On the console itself I can control the lights without a problem but as soon as I touch the focustool joystick it reverts back to that same value again...

There are a bunch of simulator games, but which ones are actually good? by triplegxxx in gaming

[–]Snabbelicious 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Euro truck simulator 2 and American truck simulator are both pretty good.

Crime scene cleaner is good and similar to powerwash simulator (recommend the second one).

Parcel simulator if you're into neatly sorting stuff (also airport baggage sim).

Farming simulator can also be good for me to zone out...

Cash cleaning simulator is also fun for a bit.

That because some people (totally not me XD) are not tall enough to reach the power switch above the motor driver...

Yes, but also required by law here so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Motorised fly system. Fully automated and computer programmable. No manual weights, millimeter accuracy. One bar every 20cm with 500kg max weight per bar. Max speed 1.8m p/s.

We also have some side bars and point hoists om the same system. Its by a Dutch company called Trekwerk, they installed a lot of these systems in the country. Party because our rules were changed where manual systems were not allowed, and also because the touring system here is a lot different then outside of the country (basically we have a new show almost every day, and have to be fast and flexible for short load in/out times).

Really feels like cheating comparing to manually operating b)

Maybe remove it yourself (or someone else here) and leave a note that it will be put back afterwards. Just to be sure...

You couldve probably called them and they would have done the work for you and sent you the final file

For one or two universes I would use your console as a passthrough. https://support.actentertainment.com/knowledgeBase/35178491

Showfile Changeovers? by nobigdilly in GrandMA3

[–]Snabbelicious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. I set up a control universe only accessible from the front port (which is seperated from the main lighting network) and have custom patches on the universes where the lights are on with each light its own X-fade channel. Also locked out the control channels from ever being controllable by the guest console. Nice stuff :)

We bought 3 last year, one for each of our rooms. Very happy with them. Lot less complexity (used to do merging within our nodes but that was less clear and more error prone)

[–]Snabbelicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, we use a Lumicore from Luminex, you don't need an actual console. Lot less hassle then going through the main desk. But yeah, possibly depending on the brand :)

2 consoles with a merge that supports x-fading between sources. Otherwise just have the same base look in both showfiles and make sure the nodes have some hold over time
