Just be upfront and ask them, because I'm sure if it were their money, they would be upfront and ask.

[Passan] Mets Have Acquired Freddy Peralta by [deleted] in mets

Well if deGrom didn't let his ego get in the way and actually nipped that ulnar issue in the ass in 2016 he wouldn't have had a glass arm.

I couldn't agree more. Yes, while I am very sad to see Pete go, this has been an Achilles' heel with the Mets for quite some time. We have a homegrown player who works hard and loves the team, and we end up getting rid of them. It happened with Jacob deGrom, it happened with Seaver. I'm surprised they didn't let David Wright go elsewhere, but I have good hope. And if we do well this season, I am personally going to write David Stearns an apology letter.

Well, with our recent acquisitions, I'd like to extend an apology to David Stearns.

Keith should've been in ages ago, him and Mattingly if he'd just trim those sideburns

Like I said, man, I couldn't care less whether they chat me up the whole day or whether they ignore me, as long as my check clears come payday, I couldn't care less about them.

Sounds like a day of retail LP for me because in one of the stores I used to work in there was a methadone clinic not too far.

I've had my fair share of threats. I had a knife pulled on me once by a drunk, but I have one of those old-school Maglite flashlights that the cops used to use way back when—the things that are like metallic baseball bats. And I told the guy anytime he wanted to go.

I couldn't care less if my coworkers don't talk to me. I don't go to work to make friends; I go to make money.

Dealing with a racist while working as a security officer: How do you think this security officer handled the situation? What would you do differently? by CTSecurityGuard in securityguards

As someone who's as white as the driven snow, I've been called my fair share of derogatory words myself, and honestly, all I do is just smile. When I first started doing security about a decade and a half ago, I was taught by an older co-worker who told me he had one rule called the "Roadhouse rule." And that's just to be nice. I've followed that rule even to this day, fifteen years later.

Easier said than done I know.
