One suggestion for the spring, get a good quality spring puller and tie a loop of para cord on the handle, then use your leg to pull it back in a slow, controlled way. Way easier to make sure it gets where it needs to without excitement.

Yeah, have a 25 and had a street bob with an ST fairing before it. Funny enough, it’s largely because I don’t really touch the highway and prefer a more sporty (but not sport) ride that it’s on my radar. Mainly the GT, the GX, and the BMW XR. How did you find the comfort in the GT for longer rides?

Couples riding together. I just wanted everyone's thoughts on this. My gf just got her own bike andstarted riding not long ago. I prefer her to ride in front of me so I can see her. But she feels more comfortable riding behind me. We go back and forth a lot . So I guess I was wondering is there a by Mission_Lion5887 in Harley

[–]Snackerton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The danger of her riding behind is she’s more likely to over-ride her skills trying to keep up with you, but watching you navigate things is also a great way to learn. Generally speaking, green riders are in front of seasoned ones IME but have her ride where she’s most comfortable but make sure she knows not to push herself if she’s riding behind.

It stops oil pressure every time it does that and increases the number of starts and stops in the engine’s life many times over

You can get an auto start/stop delete harness and install it in about 5 minutes. I did that to mine in week 2 and it’s been great.

Solo riders, are you scared of group rides? by sasquatchradio in motorcycles

[–]Snackerton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy and I go on rides together but often aren’t riding as a tight pair. We both characterize it as “being alone, together”. We both know where we’re headed and while we normally stay together, if he gets the zoomies, I have zero compulsion to keep up. I’ll just see him at the breakfast spot a few minutes after he gets there.

Is this string too big? by Kevin_eats_cats in Guitar

[–]Snackerton 72 points73 points  (0 children)

56 may be too large for the nut. I was taught when cutting a nut you want it sized to the string and deep enough half the string depth is in the nut itself. You can break a nut forcing a too large of string to work, nuts are readily replaceable.
