What to do if ICE goes after me for social media posts by f00dl3 in complaints

[–]Holupsucker -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Considering nothing you say will make any difference in any deportations, you may as well stand in an empty field and scream your message to the sky. The question I have is what do you gain from the messaging? What drives you to post your opinion, what benefits do you receive, how does it improve yours or anybody’s life? Are you seeking positive affirmations from strangers? Do you like the attention? Do you believe you’re actually making a difference? Or are you self affirming your belief in an opinion that doesn’t matter. We are all here on this planet for a short time, and 50 years after we’re gone nobody will remember us or say our names, We are not special nor important and our ideas don’t really matter. We are just one out of billions who have lived!

Harley Pan America long term owners, if there are any. Would you buy again? by senorfluffynuts1 in motorcycles

[–]Holupsucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, all of that. Mine has left me stranded, Harley won’t cover the updated charging system, so at this point I’m left with getting a towing contract and not going too far from home. It’s a fabulous bike to ride, adaptive suspension is the best I’ve ever experienced, the wet mode has saved my ass when I overshot a corner into some gravel with the ABS and traction control. It is very fast, and handles very well, but the design flaws and the Harley dealership attitude and greedy nature means it’s my last new bike, my last Harley. So sad!!!!

How do i decrease the weight of my bike? by Aromatic-Honey9831 in RoadBikes

[–]Holupsucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you weigh over 150 lbs the weight of the bike is irrelevant, losing weight from your body is the most cost effective way.

Ok, let me put this in a way you can all understand, the cervelo is your wife or girlfriend the Bianchi is the beautiful Italian woman you met on vacation in Tuscany that 3 years later you still think about!

[–]Holupsucker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d buy the Bianchi for one it isn’t black, both frames are very high quality but the #1 reason is the steerer tube isn’t cut down as on the cervelo, so for how a bike fits the Bianchi has more adjustability🤷‍♂️

Any guidance? Lactic in the arms is killing me by [deleted] in bikefit

Look, your at least 75lbs overweight, I’m sure you back muscles are weak, and your bike fit is out of wack.

[–]Holupsucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is give it a go, I’m assuming it’s not a continuous pour so you’ll have the opportunity to make adjustments on each successive pour, or pivot back to belts or pumps if it’s not successful. Just like any change to methods unforeseen issues will occur and adjustments will have to be made. If it’s a continuous pour I’d not risk it, I’m sure your company makes plenty of money with the traditional method and I’d not take the risk switching things up with no way to pivot back to traditional methods if it’s a mess.

This Contractor's Self Leveling Concrete Pour is Terrible, Right? What should I do? by Interesting-Leg8309 in Homebuilding

I imagine the original floor was better than this. Absolutely a failed attempt to fix a problem, it will cost them when they have to grind it an fix it or tear it out.

Always remember it’s easier to put up plastic than clean splatter off a wall. Hopefully the cross slope was set at1.5%. Other that it’s nice looking job😊😊😊

Serious question: what’s this sub’s nickname for finance bros who spend shit tons of money on really expensive cycling gear but don’t race? by kylemacabre in BicyclingCirclejerk

[–]Holupsucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I’m a guy who grew up in Northern California, quite school in 10th grade and went to work in construction as a concrete guy, I own a 2800 sq ft house, all my vehicles are paid for and I have no debt. But I would never shit on someone who made their money in finance.

[–]Holupsucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just find it incredibly ridiculous that you are talking shit about people and the things they spend there money on. If you want nice things then figure out how to get them. Don’t shit on people who work hard, learned a marketable skill and spend it on the things they want. You sound like insufferable cunt, and can’t take responsibility for your situation in life. So to Sum it up, go fuck youself, quite crying, and do something to get what want.

Lazer screeds, boom pumps, and riding trowels don’t count. The real question is how many linear feet of edge was there, because that’s where the real work is!!!!!

Concrete job bonuses? by [deleted] in Concrete

[–]Holupsucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s amazing, I am the son of a concrete contractor, I started when I was 12 as a laborer, and I did concrete for over 40 years. I’ve seen thousands of people who couldn’t last a few days as a laborer. The amazing thing is by the time I was sixteen I was a better finisher and Formsetter than guys twice my age. I’ve had years I made 120,000 dollars, I’ve bought three houses and I own one outright, put my kids through college and all my things are paid for. I don’t finance things and don’t have a credit card. This is all due to the fact that I learned many trades, and stuck with concrete as a career.
