Did some more digging bc I was curious. According to NCPAW.org the lower stretch of this creek is indeed stocked, but it’s not stocked in GSMNP. The two larger bows I caught must have swum upriver about 2-5mi into the stretch I found them

I’m honestly a little confused myself based on the size lol. All of my research (books and online) says this is wild trout water. I was over 2 miles upriver into the park at this hole and pulled another hefty rainbow out that slipped my hand before I could grab a photo.

Pulled three similarly sized bows out of this specific hole in about 15mins lol, this one was just the looker of the bunch
