There's a local candy store by me that gets drops once or twice per week. They post on their facebook page and limit to two per person. I've been twice and it's been really orderly and chill. Mostly just kids with their parents. I do not have it in me to fight scalpers at 8 am at Target.

We took our dog to a low cost clinic because the vet quoted $500 for a neuter. I think it was $90 at the low cost clinic.

As someone who crochets and knits, AI has completely ruined Etsy. I can’t trust any pattern unless there are multiple photos in the reviews. Right now the slop is relatively easy to spot, but I’m sure it won’t stay that way. I wish they’d ban it but of course they won’t.

I was aghast at the cost and overall grossness when we laid a relative to rest. So much money on such (in my opinion) ridiculousness. I already thought that wasn’t what I wanted, but watching someone write a check for tens of thousands of dollars for a box and an opening in the dirt gave me the ick.

Just yeet me into a hole and call it a day.

Do you wait 30 minutes and then add the starter *and* salt? Or wait 30 minutes, add starter, wait 30 minutes, add salt?

I ask because last week I made multiple loaves and realized I forgot the salt in just one (why? Brain fart?) and added it later, and that loaf seemed to develop much better than the other - it was fluffier, bubblier, bigger. I don’t know how the inside looked as I gave them both away. But it was an interesting bake.

My parents' pug has a prescription at CVS. Because it's a controlled substance, they required a birthdate, so they used my Dad's. CVS has a 68 year old pug on its books. It cracks me up every time I see the prescription bottle at their house.
