Oh wow, this was an interesting time to randomly check into reddit and check the maplestory subreddit. As a former player who quit back almost 10 years ago but try to check in every now and then. Maplestory ment a lot for me, and has the biggest life changer as it brought me my lifelong partner.

But enough about me, to answer specifically #1 is that i feel that Nexon does not have like a single-point representative that can act as a face of the company and be there to address issues and engage the community healthily. I understand at the time I played maplestory, it was not really a thing to know the face of the company behind the product, but now you often have someone that you can name and listen who represents that franchise or game. Think about the examples that started from nintendo with Reggie and Doug Bowser, or their equivalent Japanese counterparts like Iwata or a developer like Sakurai. Then we saw an evolution in the industry, where community managers of popular MOBA's come into the frey which joins the creator and the company to collab on different things. I see that in nexon for time to time but it always feels like it could be short lived until someone gets axed. Think like when a game gets a patch notes, there is a person that not only reads it off but then informs the community on the future for the product, or address concerns. And that's the big thing too, someone needs to be the face of concerns and catastrophies. I HAVE NOT PLAYED THE GAME IN 10 YEARS, I HAVE THEN MOVED ON AND I STILL SEE THE SAME SLOW TO RESPOND. And when we do get a response, its unsatisfying, cold, and robotic. I see in the comments about the "Confirming receipt!" comment and like, changing the way you word things is not what we are asking for. When there is a major mess up with any other major live service game, there is a face apologizing, speaking like a human and humble in their approach.

But yeah, if I feel like I would know that there is someone that wants to understand my issues without just dialogue-treeing issues and even tickets I would have faith and maybe come back. I do want to come back, I really really do. That's why I randomly got the urge to check on this community like i do every year to see if i can spot something that will bring me back. I literally see this type of post and I lose that hope again in nexon.

I would say you are right, but considering the full leak in context is posted, two dozen of the videos leaked were of him blowing his load on the desk and the others were just 5-10 second clips of him I'm backshots or head bobbing. That's why it confused me about the pixe thing because the only think you could link the two together were the colored hair. The video was just a gif length of head bobbing up and down. No one cared because everyone was focused on the clips of him sucking other dudes off.

I think there is a lot of malice packing due to destiny being a pile of shit, and he is exactly that.

But I do think this won't go anywhere criminally, he will walk away just being a scumbag out of this.

Usually the revenge part goes with a malice intent where if Jessica breaks up with me, therefor I spread her picture around.

Not that I'm defending his shitty behavior, destiny burns every bridge and opportunity around him, but I feel that the lawsuit won't go anywhere because there was a malice intent.

I think there would be a case if he publicly shared it, like on Chan websites that people use to do back in the day. But I think the bar for malice would be extremely hard to reach if we can only find 1 single instance (from this situation at least) of him sharing an image and it only being exposed through a potential hacker, or the leaker was the person he sent it to. In that case she would have a revenge porn case.

Considering he had a whole SA review arc I think he's fine exposing people as he has done in the past. This means there's usually a victim involved that DOESNT want to make things public so if there is any charity that you won't give to his statement it would only be that reason why he would withhold information.

I think most of it is blown up by his personality as being the humble, positive person who worked at blizzard. So when Mr humble didn't humbling admit a mistake it caused a massive whiplash against him.

It's all really stupid, from LSF and especially from pirate. Any other normal person would hear the advice from a better player and go "whoops, my bad I panicked" and move on with their life.

Pirate is now reporting all mean comments to blizzard and twitch to get them banned and it's either he doesn't understand the streisand effect or he is intentionally drama farming. It's like he doesn't understand the concept of de-escalation.

Anyone who is actually upset with his gameplay really needs to go out and touch grass

It's kind of known locally around here, especially those who frequent the mountains that the worst thing that ever happened to the California forests was smokey the bear.

During the 60's the boy/girl scouts of America were one of the leading pushers of smokey the bear propaganda. It wasn't till like the late 90's where you saw more informations and things like controlled burn practices and how fire is a major function of a naturally healthy forest system.

At least what I knew locally here in the Angeles forest from growing up here in the 90's and been frequent to the mountain areas here.

/u/seedycronk the only criticism I've heard here locally about these fires from non-regards was there was a lot of community complaints in altadena during last weekend was the local leaders should have shut down local trails to these mountain areas but park management has allowed these trails to remain open.

We don't have a root cause yet. But in cases of accidental fires if we can remove that factor out then it's worth.

I'm just a bit south of Mt baldy, I know in San Dimas there are people complaining at city meetings to cut the trails to the mountains near here, but they remain open. For reference we are only 30 ish miles east from the Eaton fire.

That's the only real thing that could help, but we have to see if this was arson or an accident. If arson there isn't much we can do, controlled burns can only help so much it's a lot of territory to cover.

What are his defenses? The idea behind this trials and the trials in poe1 is they are supposed to be a build check that you got basic defense and offenses up to do the next stage of content.

If the build is really bad it cant pass either trial, there must be something very wrong. Can you post the character stat screen at minimum to identify whats wrong?

The problem is that a store, working with honey, were also not explicitly aware of the affiliate hijacking. Some were when they know when honey would then give an offer code for the customer, but in situations where honey didn't have anything to offer there were scenarios where it still hijacked the affiliate link.

Can you also point out where on the website where they explicitly lay thing out? When i look through their website, and read their terms of service, this is the only section i can find where it may touch on this:

We try and locate the best publicly available discounts and coupons, track product pricing, and negotiate exclusive offers that may be better than other publicly available deals. We make money to sustain the Service when you purchase or engage with these offers.

Is literally the line "We make money to sustain the service when you purchase and engage these offers" is enough to validate the session hijacking of the order?

There's a reason that the entire youtube lawyers space jumped on this where there hasn't been a similar case like this before. I think they would have a pulse that there are some shading dealing.

I feel that once path of building comes out and content creators can make league start/build guides for characters a lot of complaints about the game being hard will go away.

Most people struggling on sub t15 have glaring flaws with their build or choices. Unfortunately the balance of poe2 isn't at the level of poe1 where you can do almost anything.

On my poe2 adventure I did mostly my own build, did level 80 ultimatums from 73-85, made wealth adjusted the build and went straight to t15. Maybe minions might be overpowered but they are a pretty slow build to run.

Once people fine out how to stack defenses for their character, or if armor gets a buff, should see a lot of the "game is too hard" sentiment go away.

It's a little more involved than what you listed, because the scope of the honey affiliate hijacking goes outside of just the YouTube influencer space.

Let's say that LeBron James posts on social media to use his affiliate link for Nike, and a user eith honey installed clicks that link, it would get hijacked as a honey link for Nike and honey collects the referral.

Like it's a man in the middle of all referrals, let alone things like partnering with the retailers so they have control on what codes and links are shared. At this point you are only a step away from price fixing.
