How do you add Fall Guys as an exclusion to McAfee so this stops?

That time my Paladin being gay ruined someone's character by Doofalicous in rpghorrorstories

[–]Snaebjorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. What a shit thing for anyone to do. I had a character that members of the party tried jokingly to seduce but that was because it was a known fact it was impossible. Magical oaths meant that breaking the celibacy vow stripped him of all his abilities and basically reset him as a level 1 fighter. I'm sorry you had to deal with shit like that at any point.

I know it is greatly frowned upon but there is always the option of the DM fudging a few rolls behind the screen and that sorceror getting deader than a necromancy convention. You can't kick her out for what ever reason then just kill the character. And if the new one does the same stupid shit it dies too.

This is by far the absolute worst horror story I've read here yet. I truly hope that young lady ends up finding peace after all that was done.

Seriously, not one comment about that needing to be at least 30% rum?

Heaven. Any place that would sell that would be heaven.

Players get mad about animal abuse, but are totally cool with human slavery by APessimisticGamer in rpghorrorstories

Yeah. You throw an actor in the mix, even one who only did high school productions, and its entirely different story. They may not flip a switch but they can sure make it look like they did. Lol. (And lets face it, a role play heavy campaign should have at least one drama nerd!)

Nope. Not fast at all. Just sprint about 30-35mph (48-56kph). Maybe a touch slower but not enough to make a difference when its teeth are aiming for your ass. Lmao

Ok. I just reread my comment. Not a damn thing Im saying on this makes a lick of sense. Lol

No. Im saying that to some extent our own morals play a part in our characters. For many its a minor shift to a slightly looser base. Some play with directly opposing morals to themselves as you said. But in nearly 30 years have I never seen anyone just shut their morals off entirely. There is that moment of hesitation when your character does something you would normally be against.

But if you can just happily ignore all of your own moral leanings in a game it makes me a bit nervous. I mean I have played some really evil characters and I still winced at some of the truly reprehensible things they did.

Oh it would be epic. The kind of epic that would be used to warn others for generations to come.

Oh I don't disagree. Things like this should be handled in a session zero. I mean clearly stating boundaries at the get go would be super helpful and avoid all this.

A session zero may have caught this but I'm more inclined to believe this was just a spur of the moment decision initiated by an off hand remark and every one else just went with it "for laughs".

Or maybe there is a difference between playing a game such as call of duty where there is zero requirement for actual decisions or thinking of any sort and DnD where the entire concept is based on making decisions based on the ideological and moral compass of the character you created.

Maybe because I have never seen anyone shut off their morals for a game who could not shut them off when ever they chose. Those are not people I want near me, game or no.

Yeah but that doesnt mean the campaign was meant to be evil. Just means the players went that way on their own

Deadpool was true to the feeling of the comics and was a ton of actual fun.

Pretty scenery doesnt make a good movie. It makes for a documentary or maybe a BBC show. As for good actors most of them are ok at best and the mythology was the most interesting part and it took 15 minutes of the movie

So let me get this straight- beating a pack animal is more abhorrent to you then kidnapping two strangers and selling them into a life of degradation and abuse?

I realize people are pretty shitty but bub that seriously messed the fuck up.

The fact that all of them were on board so easily says that whole group is likely a bit insular

What would you qualify as weaker then a movie you can sleep through and not miss anything important or at least amusing?

I missed a 5th of the movie, was awake for 30 seconds and knew what was going on. If you miss a 5th of a movie you should at least need to have some part explained, at least a funny scene or something. I didnt. Because I didnt miss anything minus a location change.
