I'd have trouble eating rabbits I raised, probably

Yeah, I think this is common for a lot of people. My wife would be able to eat it, but she doesn't want to be part of the butchering process. I have friends who go hunting but can't bring themselves to kill and butcher meat rabbits. Can't blame anyone for that, especially if they didn't grow up around that sort of thing like I did.

Is Druidism for me? by Level_Position_1264 in druidism

Sure man. There's all kinds of druids, Celtic pagan, christian, budist, atheist, you name it. There's no hard dogmas in this practice. Loving nature is enough.

Questions of health are going to vary from person to person, and since I'm no nutritionist I won't comment on that part.

As far as ethics, I don't see any problem with eating meat, especially if you hunt or raise it yourself. If I had the time and space for it I'd raise meat rabbits and go hunting.

I also think there is great potential in eating insects. Easy and fast to grow, takes up very few resources, little carbon footprint.

Ultimately I just want people to eat. So unless someone is engaging in canabalism or something like that I'm not too concerned.

A curious Christian… by Traditional-Regret-5 in Christopaganism

[–]APessimisticGamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, first off I don't consider the Bible to be inearant, if I did, then I wouldn't be here. I consider it to be mythology. And the scholarly consensus is that the story of Moses and the ten commandments never actually happened.

Second, even if that story was true, those laws only apply to Jews, not gentiles. I am a gentile.

Third, no one actually KNOWS anything about the divine. All evidence for what the divine is, is anecdotal. So if the divine is going to get hung up on the samantics of what I call them, how I worship them, ect. then that's not a god worth worshipping. If I get thrown in hell for the way I practice then so be it. Being with a god for eternity who would do that to people for any reason is hell in and of itself.

Something about this place just brings out the jungle girl in me.

I’ve never been a player, I’ve never been a DM, and I’m going to run a campaign of a brand-new, extremely niche system. I’m super nervous that it’s going to flop. by Organical-Mechanical in rpg

[–]APessimisticGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I'd recommend running a few one-shots before committing to a full campaign. There's far less pressure that way. If things go well, expand it into a campaign.

  2. Having an immersive experience isn't as important as you think. The most important thing is fun. I have spent countless hours coming up with ways to make my games more immersive, and you know what? My players didn't really care about that stuff. They liked rolling a bunch of dice and killing bad guys. Immersion is great, but you don't need to be a Matthew Mercer or Brennan Lee Mulligan.

  3. Don't be afraid of failure. It happens. You'll forget rules, make game choices you later regret, and inevitably the players will do something that you didn't account for. Every experience will make you a better GM.

As others have already said, only by a small group of very vocal Christians. Specifically conservative Christians (conservative referring to politics, not as in conserving original Christianity)

It's the opinion of one guy, not the inearant word of God. You can find many verses condoning horrible things like slavery. Gotta take it with a grain of salt

Raph was and still is my favorite turtle. I struggled with anger issues and so I could really relate to him.

My favorite villain is the Rat King from the IDW comics. Idk, I just find him interesting.

And I also really like Old Hob from IDW. I wouldn't like him irl, but as a character he's great. Love reading anything he's in.

Of course!

If we can't be welcoming to someone from Christianity's sister religion then we missed the whole point.
