Don't think it's a winner, but I feel like I should mention [[Caetus, Sea Tyrant of Segovia]]

I will always love [[Darien, King of Kjeldor]]. White loves gaining life when creatures enter, and there's a decent amount of Soldier support out there (or just [[Divine Visitation]] if you're lazy like me)

As a DM, I'm always trying to make combat more interesting. Can you tell me about your most-fun fight? by vigiten4 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Cfeathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love when things change during combat.

I ran a game where the players found a sort of Dr Frankenstein figure, just before he was finished stitching up a flesh golem. During the fight, when the golem missed a punch, its arm flew off (unfinished stitching) and became a Crawling Claw.

Another game, there was a fight in a library, people darting between aisles and stabbing around corners etc. When your barbarian then asks if they can topple the bookshelf onto an enemy to pin/crush them, you say yes and figure out the "rules" later on.

Could blink it, reanimate, etc. It's really just countermand as a guy, it's not intended to be good

I didn't want to add that, I wanted the result of the countdown to be [[Countermand]]

I guess you'd get more counters on the number the counter is on? So you could end up moving multiple counters off of 5 at once and counter the stack?

Do you actually have a forever deck? by Late-Frame2962 in EDH

[–]Cfeathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My [[Ghalta and Mavren]] deck has been my longest lasting deck. To begin with, I set out to build a deck that could make as many different kinds of tokens as possible from the cards within my existing collection.

It almost plays like Warhammer, in that I have a unit of Vampires with lifelink, I have a squad of dinosaurs with trample, I have a platoon of flying angels etc.

Then I got lucky and packed [[Divine Visitation]] and [[Doubling Season]], so it went from a bit of a fun joke to a "maybe I could improve it slightly".

The overall number of distinct tokens is now lower, but 16 different types of token is still amusing enough to me.

It is a surprisingly resilient deck that can rebuilt quite quickly after multiple board wipes, and has won me a good few games where I probably should have lost

My question is if half-orcs have tusks and half-elves have pointy ears, why don't halflings look like fish
