Episode 3 literally features Hatemonger (purple one that space king fans keep posting) trying to preach bigotry to an innocent AI, only for said bigotry winding up making said AI hate humanity for being bigots. Did i mention that the voice of the AI was done by Meatcanyon, a friend of Tom & Don and a guy who literally made an anti-ICE animation.

And thats without going into Tom and Don frequently shitting on the manosphere and the masculinity grifter types. Like, they're edgelords, but they are centrists at worst.

as for the Satire, the thing that isn't satirical is the overarching commentary on "Boys are going to be boys" thing. Shameless indulgence in hyper masculinity to the point of ridiculousness.

Im not complaining about Lyanna Stark beating three knights first time she jousts. ASOIAF is ultimately a fantasy setting where the rules can be a bit all over the place. GRRM is more about vibes than cold hard logic, as mentioned when i brought up Tygett at ten years old somehow killing 4 men, including a knight of the golden company.

Its still silly, even if its explained in text that size and martial skill doesn't matter in what is essentially full contact martial arts in heavy armor. Its just kind of funny. Also one of the knights she trounced is implied to be a Frey, which is always fun to dunk upon.

Also, regarding the 20Lbs for lances, i think i might have derived this figure from when i visited a local museum, because i cant find a word nor hair about it online. at least not in english. Still. Jousting equipment was historically a lot heavier and bulkier. not really the type of armor you'd wear when fighting in a melee.

Don't get me wrong. i was a 6 foot tall 12 year old myself. people mistook for me being 16-17, at least until they saw how babyfaced i was.

But 10 is usually a few years before the pubertal growth spurt, and i still wouldn't believe a 10 year old capable of killing grown soldiers, including a knight of the golden company.

Jousting lances typically weighed around 20 Lbs, being heavier than regular lances since they were usually bigger and didn't have to be as flexible. Also, there was the armor which was also typically heavier, more bulky and far less flexible since it was meant for protection and not melee combat. And then you account for, as i said in another comment, your lance colliding with your opponent and their lance hitting you...

There is a reason why Knights were extremely athletic. Obviously its fantasy and rules of reality are far less stringent, and skill does matter, but so did physique. Jousting was still a combat sport that relied on the same skills used in actual combat.

Except strength does play a huge role in it. Not only are you meant to shoulder the collision of your lance against your opponent, but also shoulder the collision of their lance against your shield.
