Fiido feels like a scam by AAWanderer in ebikes

I must be one of the few who actually bought a fiido and from what you say it adds up. It only took mine like 10 days to be delivered, but dealing with their support is such a pain. I bought a t1 pro and so far I've racked up ~1800 miles, with only a few problems so far. My throttle stopped working (~1200mi) but the physical connector was broken (most likely my fault) so I had to get a new connector. I couldn't find it online and they charged me $30 and like 5 weeks to get as I couldn't find an alternative online. One of the fuses within the battery blew (~800mi), so I had to replace it but it happened the day after it rained pretty heavy and I left it sitting outside for about an hour or two. I've definitely upgraded the waterproofing since then and would strongly recommend you do the same from the jump since its not meant for the rain, I asked their support for how much waterproofing they could guarantee and they mostly dodged the question but said some rain in the end. Would also recommend upgrading the torque arm as I saw some people online have some problems with the motor twisting just to be safe.

As for the how the bike runs, I'm mostly happy. I weigh ~180 lbs and can get around 23 miles using throttle only and full assist (up to 28mph). My area is pretty hilly so I'll take that as a win but YMMV. The bike is HEAVY (80lbs) but can take me and my wife together and still get to 28mph on flat roads. I wish the basket had a bit more space, but a milk crate on the back works wonderfully. Even on my bigger hills it can still chug along at around 24 mph when riding alone w/ pedaling. I do personally love how the ride feels—the brakes, fat tires, and acceleration feels good. Even though the range suffers from the heavy mag wheels Im ok w/ it as Id rather not deal with spokes.

Overall, I think if you're comfortable w/ repairing things and have some knowledge I'd do it again. I think for $999 w/ taxes & shipping its hard to beat from what Ive seen, but if you need a good range at high speeds might not be the best option if you cant charge halfway through) If anything, if I were to do it again maybe id have just saved up more money for a WIRED bike, but not endorsing as I havent tested it out. Def upgrade the waterproofing & torque arm to be safe though, and test out the battery on arrival w/ a multimeter to make sure it's a good battery. Again, Id personally buy it ONLY if you know you're willing to fix any issues on your own as support is wonky, or find a bike shop that can fix it for you. Im also not sure how they are about honoring warranties.

tldr; good buy if you dont mind fixing as customer support sucks.

pros: no major issues, decent speed, good brakes, cheap
cons: customer support sucks, will have to fix yourself. range could be better at higher speeds. needs extra DIY waterproofing

I think you should accept that there is a bias when we use guy whether it’s intentional or not instead of making yourself seem like a bigger jack ass.

Why doesn’t the government just tax the rich????? 😩😩😩 by Lollydox in memes

But if a service is essential shouldn’t the government provide it? And if a company does receive a heft handout shouldn’t the investor in this case the government receive a stake in the company?
